Your ice maker uses one side of water control valve and dispenser will use the other. Try filling the tray with tap water and allow to freeze. If the ice maker cycles and drops the ice into ice bin but does not refill with water points to the water control valve. On most refrigerators the dual water control valve is found on the back of refrigerator and near floor. Try that and tell I could not find that model number in the US Maytag database. It really does not matter as long as you can find the parts. If number is correct then you must live outside the USA. Lell me what you get and if you have questions I will be here to answer any questions you may have, Thanks, Sea Breeze If helpful please rate this solution.
Sea Breeze - you suggested solution was 'right-on'! Switched feed lines from the dual water line solenoid - ice maker filled instantly. Am ordering a new dual water line solenoid. Thanks to your expertise saved the expense of replacing the whole ice maker unit as was earlier suggested. You are a very competent 'Refrigeration Diagnostician'! ! !
Thanks for the rate and your comments. At times I see other Technicians here on Fixya answer questions that would cause me to stumble or feel out of place, but helping and sharing knowledge is what Fixya is all about! Thank You, John Tripp/AKA Sea Breeze
