You dont need the fuji software to view or print. You can use a card reader to retrieve your pics to hard drive and use MS Picture viewer to print from OR get Adobe photoshop.

you can also contact Fujifilmusa com/support for replacement software.

Hi , My Fuji S9600 has just refused to power-up using batteries, although it still powers-up and operates correctly when i attach the mains PSU adapter. I wonder if this is a common occurrence on this...

A few things here may cause the problem you have First the rechargeable batteries don't hold their charge like alkaline and will drop to zero or near zero voltage in just a few weeks. They may tun on a light but won't have enough power to operate a camera. When this happens you need to charge the batteries possibly twice. Another thing is if the batteries were left in the camera then it's very possible that the contacts down inside the battery compartment are corroded and need cleaning before proper connection can be made. One other thing is that the batteries have been installed out of sequence and I'm including a diagram for this.

Battery low indicator comes on even after new battery installed

I also have this problem. I put freshly recharged batteries in the DX3900 and the camera starts to turn on and reads the memory card (the green LED blinks) and then I notice that the in CAPTURE mode the lens does not extend out of the body housing. The top display shows a flashing low battery warning and after approx. 15 seconds, the camera shuts off with no function.

I have determined that the camera appears to have changed its low battery sense level as I have verified that the batteries are indeed fully charged by using a volt meter. If I have the camera in a warm environment, and do not have the LCD display on (removes a major power drain) the camera can be made to work for a short while. If I select the LCD to turn on, the extra drain seems to cause the camera's battery monitor to think that the battery voltage is too low and the camera shut down. I have yet to resolve this issue.

Fuji Finepix F410 compact loss of images

I have a blue LED problem too....One day the F401 was in its cradle with lights working all right. Next day they were not working. I tried removing and replacing the battery, I also borrowed a cradle, usb cable and mains adapter - but still no LEDS. However, the images upload to the PC as usual, the self timer works, the camera continues to take perfectly good pictures and, as far as I know, the battery is being charged. Any advice/comment will be appreciated if it helps to overcome this problem.

Incidentally, this latest malfunction is a bit annoying since the camera has already had a major CCD fault. I appreciate that digital cameras rely on microelectronics, but it does seem a bit 'throw-away' when you are told by the Fuji technical people that the cost of a possible repair is more than the current worth of the camera.

I have two conventional SLR (Konica TC Autoreflex and a Nikon 601S) both of whcih are working perfectly despite being 27 and 9 years old respectively. So much for progress, eh?!
