Is there a windows 7 driver for the A920

The post that I have seen for this problem are over a year old. Is it possible that in October of 2011, this problem can be fixed, or should a new printer be purchased. Please note that the printer is reading as ready in the control panel, but there is no action

Use Driverbooster from IObit. Excellent program. Slimdrivers is also a free driver program. Google it.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed.
Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista
Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).

I bought Toshiba L650-11f on August 03rd 2010,which has come with pre installed Windows 7 Home Premium,as i am not comfortable on windows 7 i have removed windows 7 and installed windows XP x(64) Edition...

> I am not comfortable on Windows 7

Toshiba designed the computer to work with Windows 7,
i.e., they wrote Windows 7 device-drivers for the Toshiba-specific hardware (video/audio/network). So, if such device-drivers exist for Windows XP, then only Toshiba's web-site will have them.

Also, note that Microsoft's "Product Lifecycle Policy" ended mainstream support for Windows XP on 14/04/2009, but "extended" support still is available, i.e., XP is swiftly heading to its "sunset".

Similarly, "extended" support for Microsoft Office XP will end on 12/07/2011, i.e., less than one year from now, and "extended" support for Microsoft Office 2003 will end on 08/04/2014.

In fact, after October 22, 2010, retail stores will not be allowed to sell Windows Vista.

So, if you want a supported operating system until 13/01/2015, then it's time to upgrade from 2001's "new" operating system to Windows 7.

Bite the bullet, and re-install Windows 7; you will soon be finding that any "new" software being announced will _NOT_ be supported under Windows XP.

Windows 7 were can i download the drivers for windows 7

Unfortunately, according to Dell's website, it looks like the A920 InkJet Printer is not compatible with Windows 7.

You could download earlier drivers for that printer from this page though (for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Vista).

I have installed windos 7 but this doesn't support audio device, vga devies

Try the link provided below for windows 7 drivers. Some manufacture are playing catch up with windows 7. First check the motherboards manufactures site for possible drivers for Win 7. If they haven't Win 7 drivers for you're devices than try the link below;
http://driver-pro.com/related/english/windows-7-drivers/?a=17743&gclid=CJLvoozNs54CFYRC5god1UbDdA&hit=1&l=45
Windows 7 beta came out back in October. It may take motherboard manufactors time to catch up and some older board may not have support for Win 7.

Good luck!

Misplace CD for Printer A920; need to download if possible without CD

You can find the driver for the Dell A920 printer at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A920

If your operating system is Windows XP, you can download the driver directly from that page. If you have Windows 2000 or Windows Vista, you can change the operating system at the top of the page to get the correct download.
