Can you get an internet connection?

click start control panel internet options you will see a home page box To Create Page Tabs type each adress on its own line (type in yahoo.com)

check your firewall settings make sure yahoo is allowed

click start type in cmd press enter
you should have a black screen you are in dos mode
type in ipconfig

you should see all of your connection details
type in your default gateway adress into your browser (search engine)

I would like to help you with your issue. but we have to check the following first

http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/ try log into the Web Messenger

> Step 1: Test Your Internet Connection
> Step 2: Verify Your Yahoo! ID and Password
Open Internet explorer and www.mail.yahoo.com
Check by sign in to you account
> Step 3: Test Your Access to Secure Pages
Make sure that you can access secure pages from Internet Explorer
Try to sign in to Yahoo! by going to the Yahoo! sign in page and enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 4: Verify Credentials
Verify that the same Yahoo! ID and password you used before in the last step also works in the online version of Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger for the Web:
http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/
enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 5: Check Connection Settings
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect directly to the Internet, and then click OK.

Check by Changing the connection type to a connection via a proxy server:
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect via a proxy server, then under this option, select HTTP proxy, and then click OK.


Last is Uninstall all the Yahoo Tool Bars and Yahoo applications , Yahoo Messenger, and Yahoo Updates from Program list i.e Control panel - Add/Rem Programs ..
And reinstall the Yahoo Messenger again -

Test your account with web messenger by logging in here:
http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/

If this fails, it means that there is a problem with your userid, password or account. Contact Yahoo for assistance.

If this works, then proceed to the next step.

Ensure you have a good stable internet connection.

Uninstall Yahoo Messenger and everything associated with your messenger.

Download the latest version from messenger.yahoo.com.

Try to log in again.

This should work and fix your problem.

1) Clear your browsers out
Download 'ccleaner' and use it daily. Run it through a couple of times,using the factory settings and the 'Run Cleaner' control until 0 bytes are seen to be cleaned following a scan
Run the 'Registry' from the left hand toolbar but 'Save' any changes after opting to 'repair' errors.Never make changes to your Registry without saving the information.

Open Internet Explorer (even if you use another browser as default) > Tools > Internet Options > Connections tab > LAN settings > Uncheck all the boxes and check "Automtically detect settings" > Save > Save

Please uninstall the messenger, download and install latest yahoo messenger and try. Still if you are failed, try login with http://webmessenger.yahoo.com, let us know the result.

sometimes YM is very busy for connecting people..that is why you are unable to connect but try reconnecting again...it works

be sure your password and username is correct and your internet connection is stable...

Try this solution:

1. Open your Yahoo! Messenger
2. Click <Messenger> Menu and Select <Connection Preferences> and another window will open.
3. Under <Connection> choose <Connect directly to the Internet>
4. Click Apply and OK
5. Re-open YM.

We can't somg in to yahoo messenger ....performing network diagnostic test ( checking virtual ip servers)

Clickthe "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "ConnectionPreferences." 2.Enable the "No network detection" option and then click the"OK" button at the bottom of the window. 3.Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxysettings. Click the "OK" button. 4.Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button. youmay have a registry problem download registry cleaner reginout to fix the issue
