Sanyo dp50747 Plasma HD TV

Our TV was on then it just turned it we tried to turn it on again and we got no picture the green light goes on and after about a few seconds it turns off and our Tv is only 2 months could you please give us some ideas

I have the same problem and called Sanyo. It is to bad that my tv is older than 90 days...otherwise they would give me a new one. Now they must repair the tv but that can thake up to 4 weeks.

i have the same problem twice in 4 months...i returned the 1st one after about 12 weeks ...they gave me another one....after less then a month the same thing again.....i am returning it for a refund and getting a panasonic 50 inch plasma for 40 bucks more then this one

Sanyo DP50747, No picture or sound, green power light goes on, with no picture or sound, then the light goes off. Seems to be a common problem. I called Sanyo , all they say is they make hundreds of sets and the odd one may have a problem, they just gave me the run around with no support what so ever !

I am wondering if there is a fuse to the power suppy that can blow ? Anyone have any answers?

This seems to be a common problem mine shutoff also it's only 4 mos old too bad it's not 90 days or I would return it for a refund.

same thing here went out came back no more tv ,dp50747 cannot return 90 day period just passed.still waiting to hear back from Sanyo support??tried the reset fix ,nadda.they should be recalling these but I see they are still on the shelf.poor customer appreciation if you ask me

Sanyo recommends using the reset button with cable box on, vcr off and press the reset button 2x, then try pressing channel up button if no message appears on the screen. i have not trid it yet... but good luck

I just had mine fixed and the guy said " ITS THE POWER SUPPLY" tv nows works fine after repairs but my ps3 won't work on this tv any clue or is it just cheap engineering and I just get what I pay for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is an internal fuse if could be blown. If the fuse is good you might try reflowing the solder on the power board.

Dp50747..had no power..replaced all capacitors..tv powers up fine..picture and sound work but the picture is very green with low light..is not any of the hookups and have no idea where to go from here?

try to change the contrast and colour settings on your tv. this could help you get the right colour settings on your screen

Last night watching tv, picture cut off (black screen) but power light on set stay on. then after bout 30 seconds the power button went off. Turn set back on , powere light lit but no picture and again...

Power supply board is dying not giving the tv correct voltage anymore.The power supply board,that the board power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

On a Sanyo DP50747 TV. The picture screen goes grey and the sound will go off for 3 or four seconds and then come back to normal as if there is nothing wrong. Green light for OFF or ON does not fluctuate...

Mine did that and now it has no sound or picture. Be prepared for a dead tv soon.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Have a Sanyo Plasma TV DP50747 and both picture and sound all of a suden went. I turned it on from the remote and the green power light goes on, but no picture or sound and the power light goes off again...

Yep. The power supply in Sanyo Plasmas are generally prone to failures. It could be a failure in the panel not priming, but I doubt it. Turn the lights off in the room, then try to turn it on. If you see the screen faintly flash, the panel is priming, but it is not coming on. If the screen is lit, but is still "black," then it is a control or digital board. If it is totally black with no light at all, then it doesn't entirely rule out the first two, but makes a power supply failure more likely.

They usually have a lot of heat damage to them. If you have tried unplugging it for 15 minutes, then plugging it back in and it still doesn't work, the it is most likely a secondary in the power supply.
