My coby kyros mid8024 is dead! all it does when i turn it on is show "COBY" next i hear a clicking noise then all the lights for each button go out shortly after the "COBY" on the main screen goes out also. that is all it does i've tried to reset it i've tried to hold down the reset for 20 seconds nothing. i need help desperately

You will most likely need a driver so that your computer can recognize the device. Check the box that your Coby Kyros Tablet PC came in with and grab the Setup CD. It should have the driver inside the setup. If not you can download the driver (which may or may not be) at coby's official site show here

Since you have tried to reset and upgrade the system, yet the problem still persist, the best option is to return it back to the dealer since your warranty is still valid.
Contact the manufacturer of your Tablet PC to schedule service. If the problem with your Tablet PC is related to the hardware, you may not have the tools or knowledge needed to repair it. Trying to repair your Tablet PC yourself could also void your warranty. Best best is to send it back to the dealer for replacement.

You need AppsLib on your tablet (you can download from them), and from there you can search for third party readers (I dont think you can get kindle as its designed for phones). Android tablets dont have access to the android market place therefore tablet manufacters have their own - in this case AppsLib.
