Possible that PC is hanging up as there is fault on the OS (operating system) or a virus in the OS. Also it is possible that the backup battery (CMOS) has low voltage or the memory card is a suspect. In this case you need to check the voltage and also try and swap a memory card. Sometimes the memory card connections can be faulty either on the card or on the slot. Cleaning the slot and card must be done before you try a replacement. If the PC boots and fails then the hard disc can have bad sectors or is corrupt. However if there is no result the motherboard also can be suspected. In this case you might need the help of proper tools and equipment support to do a chip level service.

Insert a windows boot disc. Go into the bios select it to boot from CD-ROM first. Then you can go from there. If you get it to boot to windows disc, then you could start reinstalling windows. If you are still having issues then there is a more serious issue. If you have any other questions let me know.

Does it start the power cycle? Can you get into the BIOS setup? If so, is your hard drive model shown in the device list? What is your operating system version?
Please let us know with more details about your problem. It's not possible without knowing the condition of your laptop. At least try to explain whether it boots up or never. Also check the battery/charger. Make sure the battery is working. Remove the battery and connect the charger. Try booting the system only with the charger. Thanks a lot.
