Clean condenser coils, remove anything around refrigerator that might prevent air flow on coils. Make sure freezer and fresh food area door are completely closed.

SOURCE: Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator, freezer doesn't work, refrigerator works

Unless specifically made for use in a garage most units won't work properly. The owners manual should say what the temp range for proper operation is (usually 55F is the low range). This is because the refrigerator section doesn't need to be "cooling" to maintain 37F if the temps on the outside are below 55F. These things are made to work in a 70F room and will not work properly if under 55F. Stupid thing thinks it's cold enough so it will never turn on, the refer section will stay cold/cool due to outside temps but since the compressor never runs the freezer will just be the same temp as the refer section (at best). Sorry, but in order for a freezer or refrigerator to work in an unheated space it must have the temp control device controling the freezer section NOT the fresh food section. In other words, that model will not work in a garage unless the temps are above 55F always.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite refrigerator won't stop making ice

sometimes when you pull the shelf in and out, it will bind on the shut off arm and cause it to "pull out" of the i/m module. the arm has to be put back into the back of the module. you can take the i/m out of the freezer or just use a mirror and look for the place the arm goes. it looks like a 1/4", round, white plastic slot. the arm just pushes into the white piece and thats what causes the i/m to shut off when full or when the arm is lifted up.

Kitchenaid fridge #KSCS25INSS hot door frame

There are heaters located inside the door frame, to prevent your doors from freezing shut, and also to prevent condensation on the outside of the appliance. It sounds to me as though that is where your problem is... Hope this helps

Icemaker makes Ice But doesn't dispense it.

Had same problem. Looked everywhere and found no solution i'm a not a repairman...they probably do not want to post so they can make 150 for a repair visit. At least try this first it may save you $$. Remove ice bucket from freezer. Remove 2 screws @ auger...remove cover and auger ....remove spring and large hex shaped shaft. heat the large shaft end with a torch and put it back in hot side toward motor until the motor end is not frozen. No torch you can use hot water...but that may freeze again.

This was happing because my flap to the ice was not closing all the way .

Manual for parts can be found here it shows ice maker parts on page 7.

Good Luck Kono

Fridge does not keep cold, but freezer is over freezing, icemaker not making ice also.

You should be able hear, and feel the air from, a running fan inside the cabinet, in either side. The common arrangement is having the coils located (behind the wall) in the freezer section and then the fan moves a controlled amount of the frigid air to the refrigerator section via openings located in the rear of the compartment. The vents are normally adjustable so the temperature can be balanced between the two compartments.  If there is no noticeable air coming from this vent, then the fan has died.

Freezer and icemaker freezes, jams.

I have run into this before and found it very helpful to re-level the refrigerator. By leaning the fridge back toward the wall about an inch helped keep the water and ice in the tray. Remember to remove items that block air flow in the freezer. Remove the ice bin and clean it then start over with the fridge leaning back a little. Hope this helps.

Your water hose that connects to the back of the freezer may be loose. Move the fridge out away and in the back make sure it is tightend.

Water leaking from ice/water dispenser

hi there,

you may have a kink in the water line leading to the icemaker. the leak is due to warm water entering the icemaker itself. i would also check the water valve in the icemaker itself and ice actuators or paddles to any breakage.

Ice Maker leaking water in freezer and won't stop making ice

The filter should be before the fridge and should not affect it it sounds like the water valve from the fridge is defective .Other possibility is the icemaker head is defective and needs changing.
