Unable to access my e-mail acct because i don't remember the username and password

If you go to "www.google.com", then in the middle of the screen is the search box, but at the top right of the window are four to five options, one of which is "Gmail". If you click on this you will load a page where you can input your username and password. Under the sign in button, there is a "need help?" link. If you click on this the next page gives you three options, forgotten password, forgotten username and other problems. If youclick in the circle next to "I don't know my password" and click continue. You will be asked for your email as registered with gmail, clicking continue will lead you to one of those annoying pages where you enter the characters displayed. On the next screen enter a gmail password you remember and then you will get a page to ask for a text message or automated phone call, whichever you prefer which will give you a code to enter into the next page and then you will be able to change your password.

The problem might be that you changed you whole account and know you are using a different one.
you can try to get back to your account if it hadn't been more than a since the last day you signed in that account.
Try this
go to Google.com homepage
click on G-mail
in the the sign-in
type in your username that you forgot you password(your old username)
for the password type a random password
and then click sign-in

The the page will display an error message saying that the password is invalid.

the you must click on forgot password
after clicking on forgot password they will ask you for an e-mail

they will ask you to type in an email address that you have access to it can be (yahoo, outlook, etc:)
after typing in this e-mail, go to the e-mail and sign-in you will find a message from Google team and a password that they have sent you

Below the sign in area is a Can't access your acct. link click it the next is a email entry page then the next is a verify page put in the code you see in the picture, Next it will ask you do you want a link to reset sent to your verify email acct. you set up or to a phone if you set up a phone number to get password help with choose which ever you got set up and it should get you a link or call. then do what either says to do from there.

Well from what I know about G-mail you can't,but you're in luck.You should,if you have another E-mail account,be able to retrieve your password.If you don't,than I can't really help.

You do not say which Operating System you are using, so my answer will be based on Windows systems. If you have non-Windows Operating System, you should still be able to follow the explanation.

If you have Yahoo Mail account and you are unable to access it, and then click Forgotten Password, Forgotten Username or Forgotten Username and Password (as appropriate) on the Login Page and then answer a series of Security Questions to prove you are the Authorised Account Holder. After this, Yahoo Support should allow you to Reset your Password and/or Username.

It is useful when setting up this type of E-mail account, to include, in the registration details, an Alternative E-mail Address to which Forgotten Passwords can be sent, after security screening. If you don't have an Alternative E-mail Address, set one up at the same time, or as soon as possible afterwards.

If you are unable to provide all the necessary Security Answers, it is possible that Yahoo Security will block all access to the account.

If it proves impossible to access the original account, open a new one and then e-mail all your essential and important Contacts to inform them of the new address. It may seem a difficult wrench to let go of an old e-mail address and the fear might persist that you will miss some e-mails that go astray but persevere anyway. People do this all the time when changing jobs. Most important or urgent information will find its way to you, by other means, if you fail to respond to an e-mail sent to a redundant address.

Save your E-mail Usernames and Passwords in a cryptic way by sending yourself a Cellphone SMS message containing them hidden in a long list of random letters and numbers.

Save your E-Mail Contacts on your computer, in the Contacts Folder in:

(My) Computer > Local C: > Documents and Settings > Contacts.

Hi there, you should check the email address you used when you sign-up for Facebook. Whether it's a Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. account. If it's in Yahoo, then go to Yahoo mail and enter your email address and password. You should see a message from Facebook containing instructions on how to access your page.

You need to go http://mail.yahoo.com
Log in with your Yahoo User ID.
Enter your Yahoo Password.
Click on submit. In case you don't remember your password or user id click on forgot username or password.

When a message states that way it just means that you entered either the username or the password incorrectly.If you tried it several times and still didn't work.Try to click the link in the yahoo sign in page that says forget password.Then it will bring you to another screen that requires you to enter the security question and answer you chose when signing up your yahoo mail..If you can't remember those ,you need to sign up another one and don't forget to remember the information you entered when signing up your yahoo mail..Hope this helps.
