I have a whirlpool double oven too and replaced the control board last year the problem started with a F06 code and would reset when I power cycled for a while until it completely quit. Changing the control board fixed that problem. I just used my self cleaning cycle recently and the oven went completely blank on the control panel. Power cycle didn't do any thing. I checked 2 of the thermal cutoff fuses that are shown on most of the parts listing but the problem was with one that is not shown. Control Panel has likely failed (circuit board). You can try removing the power wire from the back of the panel and then replug it back in to see if it resets the board, but Im sorry to say your likely going to have to remove and replace the control panel.

This blank display is a common control board problem. If the buttons beep when pressed, then the control board is getting adequate power. If the buttons beep.. and your oven light still turns on when the oven door is open.. this a text book control board failure. Self clean is hard on controls. I do not recommend self clean. Kills expensive parts. If the temp goes above 300 in the control panel, a control panel fuse will melt, killing the power to the control.

Your oven temperature sensor has failed(e-2) as well as your electronic control board(f-6). The oven temp sensor, electronic control board and the touchpad must be replaced . Approximate cost of parts is $500.00. Before you decide what to do, check the thermal fuse at the control panel first. If blown, replace it and the temp sensor. If you are lucky the control board may still be good.

I suspect a poor connection at the wiring to the EOC is the cause of the failures.

You have a shorted control pad you need to replace it.

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.
