You can use these steps to unlock your phone.

Try connecting your phone via USB and a data cable to a computer and copy the data from the phone and memory card onto that computer. Data on your SIM card will move when you move the SIM card to a different phone.

Another way is if you are trying to enter a pattern unlock. after inserting wrong pattern 6 to 7 times it shows a 30 seconds time limit to again enter pattern and you get a option of Forgot pattern
Click on Forgot pattern and enter your gmail id and password and the lock will then unlock see the image below. Maybe your broken screen will allow entering the gmail id and password.

If you forgot unlock pattern, depending on the phone if it android you should be able to access the option of entering your gmail account information after trying to many times within a time period that what happen with my lg p925g.

Reset the screen unlock pattern

If the incorrect screen unlock pattern is entered five times in a row, the phone is locked.
Note: In order to reset the screen unlock pattern you need to have a registered Google account on your phone. If you don't have a registered Google account on your phone, you must repair the phone software before tapping Forgot pattern.
To reset the screen unlock pattern by answering a security question:

1. If entering the incorrect screen unlock pattern five times, wait for 30 seconds and then tap Forgot pattern?.
2. Tap Answer question > Next.
3. Enter the answer for the security question.
4. Tap Unlock.

To reset the screen unlock pattern by entering Google account details:

1. Tap Enter Google accounts details > Next.
2. Tap the Username field and enter the phone registered Google account username.
3. Tap the Password field and enter the phone registered Google account password.
4. Tap Unlock.

To repair the phone software:

1. On the computer: Open PC Companion 2.0.
2. In the Support Zone application, click Start > Repair and follow the instructions on the screen.

Note: The installed software on your phone will be replaced, and all personal data stored will be lost.
Tip: If it is not possible to repair the phone software, please contact your Sony Ericsson Customer support.

Im not able to unlock my pattern, its asking gmail ID and password, i entired so many times but its not accepting, it is showing invalid id or password.... please tel me how do i unlock too many pattern attempt PLS HELP

If you have forgotten the screen unlock pattern, you have up to five attempts to try and unlock your phone. If this fails, you can unlock HTC Inspire 4G by entering your Google Account user name and password.

1. On the unlock screen, attempt to enter your unlock pattern five times.
2. When prompted to wait for 30 seconds, tap OK.
3. If the display goes off, press the POWER button to turn the display back on, and then press the bar on the lock screen and slide your finger down to unlock the screen.
4. Tap the Forgot Pattern button in the lower right corner when it appears.
5. Enter your Google Account name and password, and then tap Sign in.

You are then prompted to create a new screen unlock pattern. If you no longer want to use a screen unlock pattern to secure your phone, tap Cancel.
Follow that instruction step by step and if you success you get your HTC unlocked, remember read that instruction carefully, if you did wrong step you will not allowed to enter your google account.
