Word 2007 Bibliography doesn't work

I've been trying to use the bibliography feature in Word 2007 but it keeps telling me "Invalid source specified" after I enter a reference. This would be a great feature if it would work.

Does anyone know why it won't work? I've tried re-installing Office 2007 and it still won't work. I'm using Vista, if that makes a difference.

I want to write a mini bibliography research I do not have an idea how to start

A bibliography is simply a list that is typically found in the appendix of a reference book. The author of the book would have used a number of other publications and sources for the research before putting the results into order and presenting it into a readable form.
The bibliography is a list of those books, publications and other sources.

I am not sure what is difficult about making a list?

What is the different between reference list and bibliography

The reference list is for listing the source of info used in a written work. A bibliography is a listing of information sources used for information for the written work whose content is not used the in that work. In an example, "Using the 5/8" box end wrench, remove the fastener." printed in a book and then used verbatim in the written work, would be referenced. But the book read that has that sentence would be bibliographed.

How to write a bibliography for school projects?

A biblio is a list of references that you used, and there is a standard format, see here

I would not think you will need a long list, but it is good form to acknowledge the sources of your information, perhaps 2-3 textbooks and an encyclopaedia. A lot of teachers don't like Wikepedia as a reference.

Hi David,

As per what I understand from your comment , you don't need a footnote but a number which would reflect the reference in the bibliography.

In Msoffice word 2007 we can easily generate a bibliography based on the source information we provide , this has really helped me , I believe it will be helpful to you as well , for more information , please visit this link :- http://bit.ly/mgIC2p

I hope this helps ...:) your feedback would be appreciated.
