Run the service diagnostic mode to determine which button is stuck. Start by pressing and holding the
Select and
Cancel buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds to reset the control.
Rotate the cycle selector knob 5 turns counterclockwise to the second position from the bottom immediately after the buzzer sounds.
Press and hold the
Options and
Cancel buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The control enters the test mode and the buzzer will sound 3 times with all of the LEDs flashing.
Rotate the cycle selector knob 4 turns clockwise to the second position from the top and the dryer motor runs with the heating element off. The buttons can now be tested to determine which is stuck.
Press each button and all corresponding LEDs should light. If the LEDs corresponding to a certain button lights up without pressing the button or if the LEDs do not light up when the button is pressed, that button must be stuck or not making any contact when pressed.
Replace the control board if the stuck button cannot be unstuck or if there's no button that's apparently stuck but the fault code persists. Let us know if you need further advice.
