Ours Lanier 5618 has a network adapter , finally succeeded to setup via it by : "add printer wizard" , after choosing 'Standard TCP/IP Port' ; we choose " Ricoh Generic Network Printer " instead of "Generic Network Card" at 'Dvice Type' .......

Does this printer have the PS option installed? If not you will be unable to print even if you clear up the network issue.
As far as network goes is it currently connected and working with other PCs?
Mac printing is easily setup by typing the IP address of equip in the queue box upon setup. I believe the default queue name is "print" all lower case. If IP in unable to work properly make sure lanier has appletalk turned on and setup printer using appletalk.
Again if the machine doesn't have Postscript option you won't be able to print anything.

Lanier 5618 is not a Network Copier. However, it may be installed on one PC and shared from there. Drivers are available from LANIER Official Support

The toner ran out, so we ordered a new one. while it was out we had installed a new router. When we received the new toner and installed it the copier/printer would not receive any printouts from any computer on the network. tried different cables and everything. It obtains an IP address, but i cannot even ping it from the computer. Please Help. thank you.
