Hi Crazzymandy,

Thanks for your posting in FixYa.

Please do the following:

First, uninstall the My Web Search option from Add/Remove Programs
1) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel
2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs
3) Find "My Web Search" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it. You may also want to uninstall any of the following items associated with FunWebProducts.
· My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
· My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
· My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
· My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
· Search Assistant - My Way
4) Reboot your Computer and run HijackThis
5) With HijackThis, scan for and fix any of the entries shown above that may be remaining.
6) Next, open My Computer, Drive C, and double-click on the Program Files folder
7) Right-click and delete the folders for:
· FunWebProducts
· MyWebSearch
8) MyWebSearch should now be completely uninstalled from your computer.
9) There will be some minor registry entries left behind by the uninstall, however these can be cleaned up by running SpyBot Search and Destroy or Ad-Aware SE or left alone.

If unable to remove from control panel, then try to remove them after rebooting PC in Safe mode..

Hope this would help you a lot.

Dont forget to rank me up.

Have a nice day.

Best of Luck & Regards
ELLIN

Webcam "Apex" will not work on Win 7

My only suggestions relate to going to the web site for your Apex camera and contacting support for help, or looking for a download location on their site for drivers, specifically for Win 7. And for looking to see whether the application itself has a compatibility option to make it 'retro-fit' to an earlier version of Windows, like XP.

Unfortunately, there are a number of types of hardware of many different brands which never got compatibility with Win 7. Microsoft has a Hardware Compatibility List which you can find by doing a search on their web site. You might want to check the list to see whether the camera can be made compatible.

So, begin with the web site and see what you can find.

Then try for the compatibility option:

You must right-click on the icon for the application for the Apex camera, then click on properties to see whether there is an option to change the compatibility to an older (XP) version of Windows. That may make the camera work. You will know pretty quickly because if you right click on the icon, and click on properties, there will either be a "compatibility" tab or not.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

I dont have the trayapp software no longer. How do I stop the popup window that says to insert the disc if I no longer have it?

ou have to find the software from control panel and look for add/remove programs(xp) or programs and features(vista) or programs (win 7). uninstall software and make sure to remove all programs associated with the software that is asking for a disk.
2nd posible slution
Click on start and look for run (xp) or search right above start for vista or win 7. type in %temp% then click on okey or enter. once temp folder popped up. Press on ctrl A or highlight everything to select all files. delete all files from temp. note: there are some files that will not be deleted just ignore them if a message box appears. this procedure will eliminate unwanted softwares that were saved from temp folder during initial installation.
3rd posible solution
Some programs have removal tool or removal utily that can be downloaded from the web. search from google and download the software to uninstall it completely from your pc and will not leave a mark of the unwanted software.
ex. (norton removal tool)

Will not load webcam

Whar kind of OS do you have? Some web cams will not load with win 7. You need to got to the Radio shack web site to manually search the site for the drivers needed in the support area. I have the same problem with a creative live pro web cam (0884). And it isn't supported under win 7 while win xp pro does support it. Goo dluck! Email; me the model number and brand name of yor web cam and the OS of the machine you use, and if it is a 64 bit, 32 bit (or 86 Intel), and I will track down your drivers for you. OK?

Hp pavilion a6110in

you dont mention the drivers you need, you dont get drivers for software as you say, but if you mean the motherboard drivers, you will have to find out the maker of your board then search the relevant makers web site for drivers. The only problem you may come across is that the bios may have a different version for Vista than that of what you need for XP so there may be some problems stting up the motherboard drivers.
