Sylvania 6842THG was watching movies when screen went out. Up till then had no problem, now picture flashing a garbled snowy picture, sound output great. Have checked all inputs (antenna, HDMI 1&2, component, and AV 1&2 and get the same thing in all modes. Could this be the Digital CBA?

This is a common problem on Sylvania Flat Screen TVs (I have seen a lot of TV with this same problem), It is usually caused by a failure on the Power Board.

A new power board will cost about $150 - $190 USD. If you have experience on electronics repair and want to fix it by yourself, you can get the board through ebay or any online store.

A TV technician may charge about $280 - $ 400 to fix this issue (includin parts).

Read the user manual for warranty information. If the TV still under warranty, contact the manufacturer for assistance on repairs.

Try pressin the channel up/down button instead of the input button. Sometimes this will activate bring up the cable/antenna input...

You have to change the input on your TV to what jack you are plugging into. Look on your remote for an input button.
