Yeah I had this problem but she's fixed. No need to upgrade the firmware me thinks.

1) Type in "192.168.1.1" into the address bar of your browser. The log in page for your browser appears.
2) Enter your password - by default this is "1234", but you might have changed it. If you have changed it before log in with that new one.

A page should load with a lots of boring information. On the left side there should be a panel of stuff, what you want is "advanced settings". If advanced settings IS there on the left go to step "a" below. If advanced settings (or in fact anything) IS NOT down the left proceed to step "b" below.

a) Happy days. All you have to do is click the "+" beside advanced settings to expand it, then select UPnP. Then just click ALL of the boxes (there's 3 of them I think). That's it.

b) You are logged into some sort of stupid mode where you can't change anything. All you can do is refresh the page or log out. This is probably because you entered "1234" as the password, but in fact this password has previously been changed by you or someone else. So go back to the log in screen (192.168.1.1 in the address bar) and put in the one you changed it to, if you can remember it. If you do remember it and log in successfully (successfully being that you can see "advanced settings" on the left), go back to step "a" above. If you still can't get to that page it means you don't know your password. So you're going to have to reset your router. Go to step "c".

c) Resetting your router. Turn the router off. Then hold the reset button for 30 seconds and power on the router at the same time. Now I think you'll have to set up your router again like when you got if first, to connect to the internet, so do it. Then log in to 192.168.1.1 again. This time the password "1234" should bring you to the proper screen with advanced settings. If it does go to step "a". If it doesn't go to step "d".

d) You'll have to default reset your router. Turn it off. Turn it on and hold reset for 15 seconds. Some light will flash. Release button and let it reboot. Now log in to 192.168.1.1 again. If it works and you can select "advanced settings" go to step"a". If you STILL can't see advanced settings you're at the end of the line and I don't know what to do. Contact your provider or something.

If you haven't done this already...on your ps3:
Open up network >> internet connection. Choose wireless/wired - whichever you want. Choose "Address settings" - "custom", "IP address" - choose manual.Enter these:

IP address - "192.168.1.50"
Subnet Mask - "255.255.255.0"
Default Router - "192.168.1.1"
Primary DNS and Secondary DNS same as default router.

Then enter than. Don't know what MTU is (it'll come up next). You're done.

1 Reboot router, 2 Open browser and type into top bar 192.168.1.1 hit enter, 3 when window appears, erase 4x dots and type in 1234, 4 new window opens asks for new password, if you want to do it later press ignore ( if doing later redo steps 2 & 3) 5 new window opens this time with menus on side, select which you want. ( best take screen shots before changing anything) Enjoy

My nat type is strict and when i try to play my PS3 i have connection issues. How would i get my nat type to be open?

Zyxel routers don't support Nat 2 confirgurations for the PS3 software. You can fix some issues by powrforwarding the speciffic ports that the PSN uses. To do so follow this ismple guide:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/P-660HW-D1/PlayStation_Network.htm

It may vary from game to game so you should choose what speciffic product are you trying to use here:

Hi there! i have a zyxel ph660-f1z and since it doesnt suport dmz i get nat type moderate on my ps3 so it gives a lot of trouble.... i have tried port fordwarding, upnp, default server but nothing seems to...

Sometimes not just the dmz or port configurations cause your nat settings to be other than open, you may not have good internet connection, the better it is the more you will open. Most routers are open by default, and those others need to be forwarded(like you wrote) with the upnp open and specific ports for xbox/ps3 servers opened. You seem to know a little already, maybe time to get a new router?,I recently upgraded myself due to problems with configuration.

Ive connected my xbox 360 through wired connection to my modem/router and it tells me my NAT settings are strict and to enable upnp but i dont know how to enable it?

PS3 and Xbox ( NON BELKIN)

You Will Have to Disable the Firewall In Your modem / Router

And IF it is a router then Open The Ports

• TCP 80
• UDP 88
• UDP 3074
• TCP 3074
• UDP 53
• TCP 53

And also make sure that UPnP is Enabled

Hei! Can`t switch from Nat-Type 3 to Nat-type 2! Pliz help!

Wow talk about a head scratcher. Going to suggest this and i will most likely be wrong, but here goes.
This problems sounds more like it's in the settings on your ps3 then it is the router settings. You might want to check with the ps3 settings before you go any further with the router, also and i'm nor sure about this in your part of the world. Most routers now have a port setting that you can setup for your game systems. I know several that i have setup for people have had msn game zone, battlenet and a few others already setup on them iin the router you just had to put a check mark beside the one you wanted and you were good to go.
Hope this helps, but like i said, most likely dead wrong on this one.

I can not connect to people on my ps3 because my NAT is on strict how do i change it?

disable the firewall in the router, enable UPNP, in the router open up the following port numbers for an IP address and assign that IP manually in ur PS3.

TCP:80,443,5223, 10070-10080

UDP:3478, 3479,3658, 10070

Set nat to open

These routers have a setting underneath the advanced tab (within advanced setup) called UPNP.....all three of the active tick boxes need a tick in (by default they don't) and this will sort the NAT stuff out.
