My Akai LCT2715 27" LCD had some sort of power supply problem, which caused the picture to gradually darken over the course of some weeks. While it was doing that, I coped by adjusting the brightness, contrast, and other picture settings until it just got too bad. I had the power supply problem fixed, but now I can't restore the picture. Whites seem really washed out, mainly, but adjusting contrast and brightness numbers don't so much fix the problem.
Are there default / factory values for picture settings? Can someone who likes their picture tell me what their values are for:
Contrast
Brightness
Back Light
Saturation
Hue
Sharpness
Color Temperature
Thanks very much.

I would bet on the power supply....these (and other Akai LCD) are notorious for filter capacitors. Look for electrolytic capacitors with a dome-like bulge on the top of them. They are usually located at the top of the power supply board where the power output lines run out.
Hpe this helps you out....
