Hi Charles, Try the local store that sells exercise equipment, If they don't have parts then I'm sure they would know where to get them.... Also you could try the local gym, The should atleast have a phone number OR maybe try Ebay and Amazon, I hope this helps......... CHEERS
The fly wheel has a 'freewheel' mechanism similar to the rear wheel on a bicycle. It needs cleaning and regreasing with light grease to free it up and make it work properly. The job is not difficult but needs some diy knowledge. Before trying to remove the fly wheel some slack will need to be created on the 'bungee' return cord and anchored securely. You will also require circlip pliers to remove the shaft. The freewheel mechanism is a set of needle bearings that move forward in their recess to allow the wheel to rotate and move back and lock when the wheel rotates in the opposite direction. These need to be free moving and old grease thickens and becomes sticky. Clean with something like GT 85 and regrease with a light grease.
I know someone who was seeing the same error and also tried resetting the computer on the machine but did not work. As per what they told me it was some issue with the Motor. And they could replace the motor under warranty and the issue was resolved. you can try doing the same thing if nothing works. cheers.
I don't what type of rower you have, but for the most part you will have to pull the unit one layer at a time ( suggest you take picture of the process) and one point a return mechanism should be visible that may have detached or broken. After identifying then contact the manufacturer sometimes they may even e-mail the procedure of replacing the defective component or components.
extend the line to its max required length while you are sitting on the machine { as using } then get someone else to adjust the slack on the line and make it taught , the adjustment should be a bolt and nut type located on the main wheel . do not adjust the line from the seat as this may dislodge the seat . happy rowing
