Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100

Open Question

Is the faceplate of blackberry pearl 9105 glued and therefore can by removed by prying it open with a pry tool? no need to unscrew any screw? The faceplate I am talking about is the external lens. I just ordered from amazon.com a replacement and I want to be sure on how I will remove the scratched one and install the new one.

There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way.You will need the unique MEP Code for your Blackberry and to get it you can use a website with service for Blackberry unlocking .so you can use a website to Unlock your Blackberry Pearl 9105
online instantly - OR local mobile shop .they are mostly using cables to unlock it and the price is higher then on unlocking websites but the result is the same: SIM free Blackberry.

Need to replace keypad on Blackberry Pearl 8130

Hi Keith,
if you have knowledge of how the phone disassembles you can remove the screws in the back
and open the phone by using a razor bladed and popping the plastic lockes around the edge
Check out this youtube tutorial before you do anything. if you feel ok to do it, it's you phone.
But be warned the plastic is delicate so be sure you have patience and work slow.Hope this helps, if so leave a FIXYA Vote

Blackberry got damp in rainstorm and buttons won't work

Moisture has caused a little short in between the contact under th keyboard.

I would recommend to open your phone and gently wipe any moisture under the keyboard..

1) Remove Battery
2) Remove 2 #6 torque screw from rear top of phone
3) Using a prying tool remove base of phone ( where the log of the phone company is
4) Remove 2 more #6 torque screws
5) Remove side chrome cover ( Snaps on)
6) Lever in between front and rear case and pry open gently
7) Wipe gently and re-mount in reverse order..
It should work

Putting on faceplate for samsung t319

hi you best bet is go to a repair mobile shop if are in doubt to try this .
you'll need a small Philips head screwdriver to complete the installation. To take off original faceplate, remove 2 screws located below the inside display (screws are hidden under stickers). Next, gently pry off the faceplate along the edges between faceplate and phone with a Faceplate Removal Pry Tool. When re-attaching screws, do not over-tighten screws
riz.
