I have a Black & Decker 12 volt cordless power/hammer drill. I think it needs a new battery & possibly changer. Can I purchase a new battery & charger or is the drill too old?

see if your model has a parts list for battery and charger

if discontinued
look for tha same used drill in better condition
or toss in the bin

My 98 blazer acts like the battery is dead but when i hooked it to a battery charger it said it was full and running at 9.1 when it should be running at around 12 then said error f03. so what does that...

It means the battery charger is your problem. Find an old-style simple battery charger, not one of these new "smart" chargers. The simple ones allowed YOU to decide whether to charge or not. Placed more responsibility on you, but a simple charger would WORK for your battery.

At 9.1V, your battery's DEAD.

I am in Canada and I cannot get a Black & Decker 36V charger which is LCS36. The B & D 36V battery looks identical to the Dewalt 36V battery but I cannot be positive. Do you know if the B & D LBXR36...

What I do know is that some NiCd 12V Black decker batteries that look similar to the dewalt ones they are charged by the dewalt charger.
But there are 12V Nicd black and decker batteries that they can not be charged due to an extra plastic edge that does not allow to be charged by the dewalt charger.
Now if you do have the dewalt lithium 36V charger and if the black and decker battery is a 36V lithium one and can not be charged due to a plastic edge then I would recommend to risk to destroy the plastic edge in order the black and decker battery to be charged.

What does the code F02 mean for a smart battery charger

It means one of two things. Either you do not have a good connection from the charger to the battery, check and clean the clamps and terminals, or the battery has too low a charge. A smart charger needs to measure the existing charge before it will work.

I've had for a few years now a Black and Decker KC1462F 14.4v Firestorm Drill and Tourch set with Two battery packs. The problem I have now is that both batteries refuse to recharge with the charger...

Hi sast.
I found this on amazon: HQRP AC Adapter Charger for Black Decker VEC119SH TYPE 1 VEC120 TYPE 1... It says that fits, but anyway contact the seller and ask.

What does F03 mean

F03 is an error code with two possible meanings.

1) battery plates are sulfated, meaning they have a buildup of lead sulfate on the battery plates. Try charging the battery using the "Recondition" button on your charger. If this does not correct the problem then it may be option 2:

2) Open cell in battery. Have battery tested at an auto parts store and be ready to buy a new battery. An open cell means the battery is no longer usable.

Black/Decker 12 v drill charger will not charge battery. help

If the battery gets warm after being in the charger a while and still is not charged, then the battery is bad
if the battery stays cool in the charger then the charger may be bad
Chargers usually have a light code, I.E. on means charged, slow flashing means charging, and a quick blinking means bad battery
Some chargers have 3 lights and the code should be imprinted on the charger.

I am trying to charge a dead battery on my car, and I am using this battery charger for the first time. Black and Decker model number VEC1086BBD. I got a light that says "Fault". What does that mean? I...

o.k. the fault light means that the battery is either 1. not connected right or 2. the battery is not chargeable.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Fault Codes Meaning of Fault Code F01 Internal Shorted Cell Battery - Cannot be charged. Have battery checked by certified auto service center.
Excessive Load on Battery While Charging - Check load. F02 Bad Battery Connection - Check battery connection.
Battery Voltage Tool Low to Accept Charge - Have battery checked by certified auto service repair. F03 Internal Open Cell - Have battery checked by certified auto service center.
Sulfated Condition - Battery needs to be reconditioned. See manual. F04 Overtime Condition - Battery will not accept a charge after 18 hours of continous charging. Battery may have internal
damage. Have battery checked by certified auto center.

Battery Charge Rate is Set Too Low - Set charger to higher charge rate. See manual. F05 Overheated Condition - Disconnect charger and allow to cool for 30 minutes. Check for ample ventilation. F06 Reverse Polarity F07 Alternator Output is Out of Typical Operation Range
