Push the start/stop button until the light goes off. This will shut the cycle off.

sounds like the motor bushes have badly worn just check or replace them,sometimes they just need taking out and give them a flick with your finger to get rid of the carbon dust build up,put them back on if they are long enough as they really should be showing a good quarter of an inch for it to function rite.

Sears are a department store not a manufacturer, they contract other manufacturers to build the appliances for them and these are then sold under the Sears/ Kenmore brand.

i believe i can help you,,but washers dont agitate in the spin cycle,,i believe you ment it wont wring or spin in the spin cycle..your lid switch is defective,,replace,,if need be i can talk you though,,onthejob

It means that there is too much soap in the machine most of the time. Give it time for the suds to go down then try to run it through again. Try using a little less soap later on. Front loaders need less soap than top loaders.

I have had my epic front loader washer and dryers for 1 year now. I picked them after carefully researching other brands/models and reading many reviews. Epic had the most positive and satisfied reviews/ratings of all at the time.

I have a large house with 6 furnished suites and I do the laundry for all suites weekly, so there is a lot of laundry. The Epic machines have been great, even with some overloading abuse by the cleaning staff.

I did, however, just experience my first problem - the "Control locked problem"

I googled and found this excellent site - and the fix for the problem (hold "cycle end signal" button down 3 seconds). Worked like a charm...

I tend to think that all of the digital front loaders for all brands will have a problem like this once in a while, as they are fairly complex compared to the prior generation of washer/dryers.

However - your problems with your new machine sounds bad - like you may have gotten a lemon.

I bet they would send you a new replacement machine at no charge if you called Maytag... I would try that first before shopping for a different brand/model...
