Door takes to long to open - Hotpoint Aquarius WF220 Front Load Washer

Take it to a repair shop you will have to take teh back off the oven and gain access to the door lock mechanism from behind.

You should be able to unbolt the hasp on the door frame to open the tailgate with any luck ,sorry no experiance of this model here in europe

Parts are available at a salvage yard. Getting the door open is going to be your problem "unless" you pull the seat out and have room to take door panel off to open the door with the mechanism manually.

BEST THING TO DO IS CALL AMA TO COME AND UNLOCK YOUR DOOR.IT WILL PROBABLY BE CHEAPER THAN U PLAYING WITH IT ALL DAY AND MAYBE BREAKING SOMETHING ELSE.ONCE OPEN TAKE YOUR DOOR PANEL OFF AND CHECK THE LINKAGE MAKE SURE ITS STILL ATTACHED AND WORKING PROPERLY,ALSO CHECK ALL WIRE CONNECTIONS TO YOUR POWER DOOR LOCKS AND ALSO THE DOORLOCK ACTIVATOR

it sounds to me like the linkage inside the door may have come off. you have to remove the door panel that is if you can open the door from inside. if not you may be able to open the door with a slim jim. no matter what you have to get the door panel off to fix your problem. that can be a task if you can't open the door.

If you look at the other doors that will open you will notice a lever on the side of the latch it will release the latch. with the door open flip the latch and open it so you can see how it works. Also you can take the door panel partly loose. You will not get all the screws out. You can get enough out to pull the door panel out and reach into the door, pull the rod from the door handle and open it. Once the door is open there is a torque bit screw in the end of the door that holds the outside door handle on take it out, pull the door handle out and you will find a pin out or broke in the door handle. Take a handle on the door that works so you can see the difference. To do the back door on a 4 door you have to take out the interior panel that the top holder of the seat belt goes through to get to the screws in the end of the door panel just to get the interior door panel off to reach in. You can replace the rool pin with a screw, but be sure it's tight because it will back itself out and you'll have to do it all again. Been there and done that. Ha Ha. remove the crews from the seat and then tilt the seat to the back u dont have to take the seatbelt screw out. remove the screws holding the door handle and then get a screwdriver (flat) bend the tip 2" and use it to take the panel out open the panel and remove the cover that is tape to the door locate a bar that will have a cover (white) hold and move to the left the door will open take the handle out and check it!

yes u can open door from the inside,take the top off (take plug out first)put your arm down to near the door latch and you will feel the mechinism there just gently push down or up until the door opens,if water is still in the washer then take drain pipe out of the waste pipe and place a bucket on the floor then put the pipe in that to manualy drain it,hope this helps you,ps you can buy a new door handle from any washing repair shop and they are easy to replace just see how the old one comes off,rgrds,paul

Do you have triple A membership? if you have or your friend has it, you can call the triple A to open the door for you, it will cost you nothing.

Because there is a plastic clamp hold the bar connected to the door opener was broken or loss.

If you don’t have AAA membership, if you do not want to call Lock Smith, you can make a flat metal tool, just like one foot stake measurement , it should be around 18” and cut the front part like a C hook , shot from outside window near the handle, try several times see if you can hook the open bar from inside the panel, if you touch the inside handle bar, just pull it up, the door will open.
