Passwords are case sensitive.
For example, if your password is: november684,
then the system will not accept November684, or NOVEMBER684, or noVember684 etc...
The password has to be exact.
If a letter in your password is Upper Case, then that letter has to be typed in as Upper Case, and if a letter is Lower Case, then it has to be typed in as Lower Case.
I'm not trying to be childish when I say:
Upper Case means: A, B, C, D etc...
Lower Case means: a, b, c, d etc...
Just try to remember the exact answer for your security question. Try to remember if you have used upper case or lower case characters for your security question answer.
Go back to set up and enter. Look around and you will taken to a keyboard and then use remote to type in address. There a 2 key bards one upper case and on lower case.
How long since you used your email account?
Some web based emails accounts will be wiped after 3 months of inactivity.
Make sure the caps lock is not on and that you have the email address exactly correct.
Check your upper and lower cases and make sue any . or _ are in the correct place.
This can be sooo frustrating.
1. did you type in the right email address 2. did you spell it correctly 3.did you use upper & lower case letters 4. have you check your spam folder 5.have you put ebay in your email address book or new contacts 6.if you have firewall on that may interfer or the security setting on the computer, depending on which windows version you have and also which email service you have
Most email providers like gmail, hotmail etc won't let you change your email address other then making a new account. Reading your question your email account has been hacked.. Best thing to do is change your password to keep them out.. Make sure you use a strong password ... Use upper/lower case letters and numbers ... Example: SolUtiOnsTodAY20120 ... That would be very hard for hacks to get in with that password
