Hi,
They are one and the same. So, if you have directions for descale, that does refer to decalcify as well.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.

I have a Jura Impressa J9 but there is no Descale or Decalcify option to choose

If your machine is not displaying the descale or decalcify option, you can try forcing it into descaling mode. To do this, press and hold the rotary switch until "RINSE" is displayed. Briefly press the rotary switch again until "RINSE" lights up. Turn the rotary switch until "DECALCIFY" is displayed. Product Support - JURA

Why does my machine say decalcify what does it mean

It means you need to run the decalcification program - basically run some solution through the machine and then flush it. Full details are available in the instruction manual.

DESCALING The Saphira has an integrated descaling program. The procedure takes about 60 minutes. Once started, the descaling procedure may not be stopped. • When acid-containing descalers are used, immediately remove any splashes or drops on sensitive surfaces, particularly from natural stone and wood surfaces. Also, take the appropriate safety precautions. • Turn off the Saphira by pressing the "ON/OFF" button. • Press the button "Descale" until an acoustic signal is heard. • Display: EMPTY DRIP TRAY (Fig.1) • Display: INSERT AGENT IN TANK • Display: PRESS DECALCIFYING Dissolve 2 DESCALING tablets completely in 2.5 cups of water in a vessel and pour the mixture into the empty water tank. Place a sufficiently large container under the steam tube and the coffee delivery outlet. • Press the Descale button • Display: UNIT DECALCIFYING • Display: PLEASE WAIT • An acoustic signal is heard. • Display: EMPTY DRIP TRAY (Fig.1) • Display: FILL WATER TANK • Display: PRESS DECALCIFYING • Press the Descale button • Display: UNIT DECALCIFYING • Display: PLEASE WAIT • An acoustic signal is heard. • Display: EMPTY DRIP TRAY • Display: CLEAN CONTACTS

Decalcify?

I had the same problem with a Saeco Royal Digital. I ran the decalcifying liquid through the machine with the automatic descaling program as per the instructions on the bottle and the DECALCIFY message stayed up.
I solved it by going to the menu and selecting "Signal Descal." and toggling it from No to Yes. I escaped back to the menu and git the usual "Select Product".
Hope this helps.

Decalcify

when the machine gives the signal press the bottom right hand button for 5 seconds.
it will tell you to open the knob.
before you open the knob fill the water tank with the descaling solution
place a large water receptacle under the steam wand.
now turn your knob
the machine will start to descale this can take a while
when the descale cycle is finished close the knob.
rinse the water tank out with fresh water and fill it will clean drinking water.
Press the same button on the bottom right to confirm that yo are doing the rinse cycle.
open with knob and the machine will start the rinse cycle.
when the rinse cycle is complete close the knob and load the circuit.
when descaling is over fit a new cartridge filter in your water tank and off you go with your descaled cleaned coffee machine.
