I press on the Pfaff foot control pedal to accelerate. It stays in the 'go' position. Doesn't pop back up. This is the second pedal that does this. The first one I traded out at the dealer. I gentley took the top off. I need a lubricant for the button that is compatible with electronics

SOURCE: Foot control for PFAFF won't work

These machines need to be seen by a technician who can disassemble the motors and replace the carbon brushes. You should have them serviced at the same time since it doesn't take that much longer to do everything.

Inside the foot control there is a suppressor, it will be a very small thing attached to the two terminals, take it out and discard it because you don't need it.

Are you able to post a picture of what pieces you have? The contact board may not be pressed down all the way or the contact itself may be bent. You should be able to purchase both pieces if needed from a pfaff dealer.

SOURCE: Are pfaff 1475cd sewing feet compatible with pfaff 1151 machine

Hi. Some Pfaff machines have something called an "IDT" which looks rather like a small, black walking foot behind the pressure foot, to help feed the fabric evenly. Pfaff machines with this IDT need "IDT" pressure feet. (I can't find a listing of which machines have this and which don't, so you'll have to look at your machines or check your manuals.) If both machines have the IDT, then the feet are compatible. If neither has the IDT, then the feet are also compatible.

Hope this helps!

Happy Sewing,

I have a antique pfaff 130 sewing machine. You use your knee to press the pedal. Can you tell me if it can be converted to a foot pedal as well as the aproximate year.

It probably can be switched to a foot control. It's been done a lot for other machines. You may need to have an electrician do the wiring or even a sewing machine repair shop may be able to do it for you.

There are at least two Yahoo groups that deal with Pfaff sewing machines. You may want to check them out and possibly join as they are very helpful with Pfaff problems and questions.

Foot pedal doesn't work

well if the foot pedal isn't working, you can either replace it with a new one or take the machine to a sewing machine repair shop & let them check the foot pedal & see if it's fixable

I have a Singer Sewing Machine #9444. There is no electrical getting to my machine since the light doesn't work and the foot pedal doesn't work after I turn on the machine

Try replacing the light bulb or rerouting the wire so it won't be affected by the light bulb or the foot pedle. Becarefull though because if you rerout the the wireing in the foot pedle you're taking away the off/on swich so it'll stay on. You may want to open up the foot pedle and see if there is anything loose, not conected or broken. The pedal is used as an on/off swich so it may just be stuck in the off position and not making contact when you press down on it so it won't turn on.
If you can't fined a blulb for it by the way you can disconect the socket where you screw it in and install a new one. Make sure the new one will fit in the same hole though. Then it should be easy finding a bulb for it. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS DISCONECTED BEFOR YOU DO ANY OF THESE THINGS. Good luck!

When I turn on my PFAFF 1222 it wont sew

It may be in bobbin filling mode. Can you turn the inner circular on the hand crank. If you can click it into position, this should engage the needle mechanism.
