GE Profile WPRE6100G will not spin

After a power outage my GE Profile Top Loading Washing Machine, Model: WPRE6100G, will not agitate, nor spin. All the control panel function seems to work, but no apparent motor action. I have try reset the circuit by unpluging the machine and opening and closing the lid more the 10 time. No positive result. Need Help. Thanks

    GE profile top load will not fill or spin but it will drain.

    Same thing happened to me. I dont think its the lid switch... I had some recessed lighting put in the same room and afterwards the washer will only fill up with water or drain, wont agitate or spin. The dryer still works perfectly fine. Is there a fuse for the motor that could be blown or is the motor fried possibly? Thanks

Hi thanks for the question. i think the problem is with the lid switch . lifting the lid 10 times wont help if the switch is faulty check the lid switch thanks the appliance doc

Washing machine will fill and then noting .wont agitate wont spin but it will drain.
bad door switch or lid switch take the wires off the switch you'll have to raise the top if its top loading and disconnect the wires from the switch with the washer unplugged and temporary wrap electrical tape around them together and see if it will work if it does its the switch if not reconnect wires and get back in touch with me.

Washer will not agitate or spin
belt could be broken. If not try unplugging for two minutes, then plug back in and open and close lid seven times slowly to reset computer than runs machine.

GE profile washing machine won't agitate it spins out, drains,
Pull the agitator out and check the drive collar splines.If you have the model I think you have just pull straight up on the agitator. Once removed you will see the drive collar with a 7/16 head bolt,remove it and pull off the collar.First before pulling it off spin it if splines are stripped it will spin freely.
