A PIN Unlock Code (PUC) or PIN Unlock Key (PUK) is used in GSM mobile phones and some smartcards to unblock a blocked card.You will need to contact the person that sold you the card, to have them reset it.

The PUK code is a code associated with the SIM card and not with the phone.

You have only two ways to get rid of the PUK code. Either you replace the SIM card , or you call phone provider that issued the sim cadr (eg. At&T, Virgin, Tmobile , Vodafone, Telecom etc.)

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact Airtel technical support to unlock the SIM. If you have lost the sticker with PUK code, then there is no other way (apart replacing SIM) of getting rid of PUK code.


Note: If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore. The other way is contacting phone company.

HI If you are asking for pin contact your service provider , he will give you a default pin . If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider(virgin ) which is specific for each and every mobile number . Donot try PUK code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.
Contact your sim customer care(virgin customer care) department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no.

A number code that unlocks your SIM card in case the PIN is incorrectly entered three times. If the PUK is incorrectly entered ten times it permanently disables the SIM card, which will then have to be replaced. Contact us if you need to get your PUK.

When you enter a wrong Pin code three times, the phone goes in lock mode, and ask you for the puk code.

The puk code was enclosed with the original sim card documentation.

If you lost it the only ways to recover the PUk code are either paying a phone shop (they will phone virgin), or calling virgin mobile customer service by yourself. They will ask your personal details, and retrieve the PUK code from database.
