My Nordic Track 1300 Commercial elliptical makes a loud clicking sound on the left side as the left pedal returns from front to back. What is the fix for this?

Dear Sir:

Thank by your request, I hope everything is o.k
I will try to help you, inmediately.

1)
Pedal Arms
1
Use aflat screwdriver to unseat the tabs that hold the front top cover in place. Thiswill expose the flywheel and pedal arm connection points. Rotate the flywheelby hand and determine whether lubrication will accomplish the repairs. If thebearings are exposed, use a grease gun with an extension nozzle and lubricateboth bearings with lithium grease. If the bearings are damaged or sealed, proceed to the next step.2
Removethe front and side covers on the main frame. Hold the flywheel with one handand use a box wrench to loosen the bolts that secure the pedal arms at eachside of the flywheel. Pull the arms away from the flywheel and remove thebearings from each side.3
Test thebearings as before. Lubricate exposed bearings with lithium grease andreinstall them. Sealed bearings must be replaced. Reattach the pedal arms tothe flywheel. Replace the main frame covers and front top cover to complete therepairs.
If you need further assistance, please reach me.

Thank you in advance, sincerely. God bless you.

Hi,
I have the same machine. NordicTrack 1300 Commercial.
The noise I get is coming from the front of the machine. It sounds like the arms that hole the wheels on the ramp are making the noise... How do I eliminate that?
Please help!
Joe

Same machine, same issue. I've completely torn it down, cleaned, lubed, and rebuilt, and still creaks on down stroke. No sound when there's no weight on peddles, and ramp wheel bearings feel smooth.

I have a Nordic Track Commercial 1300 eliptical that started slipping when we used it. We tightened the belt but it didn't help. What else could be wrong?

Step 1

Remove the screws or bolts securing the ends of the pedals to the crank axles. Slide the ends of the pedals off the axles. Remove any screws or bolts securing the left and right disc shields to the base unit. Pull or pry the disc shields off the base unit and set them aside.
Step 2

Remove any screws or bolts securing the left and right side shields to the base unit. Detach the side shields and set them aside. Examine the interior of the base unit and locate the drive belt.
Step 3

Pull the drive belt free of the crank pulley, flywheel and any other pulleys. Discard the old drive belt and install a new belt in its place. Turn the crank axles by hand to confirm that the belt will turn smoothly when the device is in use.

sincerely. Merry Christmas.ernesto cuadra

Nordic track commercial 1300 manual

It sounds like reed switch inside the side panel located on the frame by the large pulley either needs to be adjusted or replaced. Try adjusting the switch first the clearance between the switch and large pulley magnet will be 1/8" if you have the same result then replace the switch.
