SOURCE: uniden dect 6.0 caller id light wiil not go out
I am not aware of any Uniden phone that has a "Caller ID" light. If you are talking about the small red LED on the top of the handset, that is a voice mail indicator and can be triggered by either a voice mail being held by your telephone service provider (Called Call Notes by some of the "bell" companies) or an unheard message on the telephones internal answering machine. Most of the time this is due to a voice mail on your service provider. If you don't think you have Voice Mail from your telephone service provider, call them and make sure, now days they include it with a bunch of other features without you ever asking for it. If you do not have voice mail through your telephone provider and there are no new messages on your answering machine, follow the Reset VMWI indicator procedures in your owners manual availible at http://www.uniden.com/index/manuals_results.cfm?cat+1
SOURCE: CALLER ID ONLY SHOWS "INCOMING CALL"
I was using this site while trouble shooting this in the US...
If the customer has DSL with filters in the same system go back to the NID and Isolate the DSL,
test the caller id and call waiting caller id. If this works you have Data Bleed coming from the DSL.
Make sure there are not two sets of filters on the line. Tjis customer had a filter with the DSL modem.
Doing this we just fixed an on going problem for a field tech who was the second callout on a customer issue.
