  • This site does not allow a big enough spot to upload a diagram that would be beneficial for this purpose so I had to upload it off site. Since this radio is often converted to run on 11 meter (CB frequencies) the diagram I uploaded corresponds with the frequencies after conversion.

  • On the Connex radio's the band "HI/LOW" switch determine the band you are on in relation to the knob. If you want the original, stock, frequency chart let me know and I can put that up as well.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

    And actually this chart is good for all the Connex and Galaxy radios. You have the 4800 dxi so everything is the same you just don't have to fool with the high low switch. And that radio has a frequency counter on it already as well.

What channels are legal to use on a Connex 3300 with 40 upper, lower and regular settings?

only the CB band to TX on.. you may RX on any frequency.

When i turn on my connex 4800 dxl all that lights up is the power meter no chanel display or freq display no sound either

The voltage regulator on the right side of the radio (with the parts side up ) is located in between the 2 side screw holes is ether bad or the legs are broke loose . it is a A1869 transistor.can be replaced with a A473 Transistor . Basically it's the same as a Galaxy Radio ,Ranger makes the boards for (RCI ,Galaxy , Connex , North Star ,Super Star, General Lee .) Hope this Helps.

How do you properly set the settings for normal use on the Connex 3300

I am guessing that you are talking about getting it to talk on the FCC Citizens band. I am not too firmiliar with connex, but this will work with any radio with expaned channels.

Usually you use a frequency counter to see what frequency you are on when you are playing with the bands.If you do not have a frequency counter you can find the CB this way.

If its in a mobile, or you are not really far from a highway where big rigs travel, you can flip to channel 19 on the channel sellector then flip through the bands checking each time to see if you are on the CB 19. When you start to hear truckers or you get a radio check from a trucker your on CB 19. You can always ask the person, "this is 19 right"?

I recomend geting a frequency counter.

Rolling Frequency Counter

I'm giving this info from the Master Edition of C.B. Tune-up manual Volume 1 year -1995. The original price of this info was $39.95 But I have had people help me with radio info. so here it is---- on page 60 it says [ Model ] : Galaxy Saturn ( and export models using the same Freq. counter module ) The most common problem with the { Galaxy Saturn } is after it has been on for awhile the read-out becomes unstable. And sometimes it will quit all together. This problem has been traced to a Zener Diode inside the freq, counter module. The square silver box located right behind the speaker. The Zener Diode inside marked D-603. This is a 2.4 volt , 1/4 watt diode next to IC-609 the ( LM-7808 ) regulator. REMEDY: change D-603 to a ( 2.4 volt , 1/2 watt diode) This should restore normal operation. {{{{ 357 - MAVERICK }}}

Connex 3300 hp

U mean on sideband? Frequency counter only useful on other than sideband operation. This does not mean the carrier insertion osc. is on frequency. If it needs adjustment, your voice will sound high/ low on transmit. Incoming signals will sound right after adjusting the osc.
