You might want to check the sleep timer, it may be ON and set for 10 min. Go to the OnScreen Menu to get to this setting. Also, you could be nearing the end of your "relationship". There may be an internal board problem that may mean a trip to the TV doctor.

Kds K-92bw After about 5 min the screen goes blank..turning the unit off than back on the screen looks great for a while about 3 min than goes black..seems to be a caused by heat

This issue is most likely caused by a capasitor doing bad. There is no easy fix. It must be disembled and the power supply repaired. If done properly, it should cost somewhere between $ 50 to $125. But it may do it again as the Pwoer supply is a known issue for this monitor. Sorry.

My samsung LE40R74BD set works fine for about 10 mins then screen goes blank (black) . It would appear there is no back lighting. I have visually checked the psu for blown capacitors but all seem to be...

This does not seem to be a power supply issue but rather an issue with the backlight inverter board. When the screen goes black, take a flash light and focus it on the screen from a close distance and several angles. See if you notice a very faint image. Try changing the channels to make it more noticeable. Try it and let me know

Screen goes blank aftert 10 mins sound stays on though, wont come on again till been switched off for ages, and then picture still only 10 mins then sounds stays on again

when the TV goes dark, shine a flash light on the screen- hold it very close.
if you see a little bit of the image, your backlight has failed. That would mean you would need to replace the LCD panel.

My TV will play fine for 10-20 min. after that the screen will go blank.I have no problems with the sound. When I unplug the power cord for a few min. and plug it back in the TV works

Hi

Please remove the power cord of the TV, if it is connected to any power surge box and connect it directly to wall jack or wall outlet. Do not place any magnetic items nearby the TV. Do not completely cover the LCD with plastic cover or cloth.

This should resolve the issue.

3 year old 42in LG LCD TV scrren went blank

You will either have a fault with the inverter board which drives the backlights or a faulty backlight in the screen. If the problem is a backlight then a replacement screen is the only cure. One or the other is breaking down after it has been opn for a certain period of time, have an engineer call out & check with a tester if it is a screen problem.

My Westinghouse 32" flat screen tv goes blank once or twice during an evening of watching the tv. It doesn't turn off, just goes blank. We then turn the tv off and back on and it looks fine until the next...

It can be the backlight inverter board is going out or the power supply that supplys the power to the inverter board is going out if what you mean by 'BLANK' no light on the screen. Look for bad capacitors in the power supply first it is easier to get to than the inverter board.

TV SCREEN GOES BLANK

Most of you that are having problems,it has nothing to do with your screens themselves, but with the capacitors in the power supply, the caps, over heat and the tops pop out and the dry out and are no longer any good,a soldering iron, solder, and flux are really all that is needed to repair this problem, get good caps at radio shack,or equal location, pay attention to polarity on the two contacts on the bottom of the caps, replace all that are poped up
