Good Day;
Try these first. This TV is an oldie 1988?

POWER SUPPLY STARTS BUT WONT RUN. CHECK FOR SHORTED D909 OFF T905 PIN 17 AND/OR SHORTED IC401. (PCB-MAIN) D909 PT.# 264P521020 IC401 PT.# 272P174010 *** ( TO PREVENT REPEAT FAILURE , REMOVE T905 FROM PCB AND RE-SOLDER LEGS OF TRANSFORMER AND THEN REINSTALL) 2. POWER SUPPLY WONT RUN. CHECK FOR OPEN FOIL AT PIN 2 OF T905. (PCB-MAIN) 3. POWER SUPPLY WONT RUN. CHECK FOR OPEN R903 (220KOHM) AT PIN 3 OF IC901. (PCB-MAIN). ALSO CHECK THE VERTICAL OUT IC, LOOK IN POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR LEAKY CAPS. YOU CAN TELL BY BLACKNESS ON THE BOARDS ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE CAPS.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

What could be the cause of my mitsubishi lt-3040 flat panel tv not powering on

If nothing works, just check the cables, connections and fuses.
Can you see any bad parts on the power cable(s). Does the mains plug deliver any power? Is the power cable still connected correct?

I have a 50 in mitsubishi television when i plug in an hit power button i hear a click sound and it wont power up

That click is the power source's relay engaging - if you don't see any change is because the power source has had a major failure. Unplug the tv from the wall to limit the damage and call a repairman, there's nothing more you can do.

My Mitsubishi ws-65819 won't power up. When I use

Unplug it ,leave it unplugged for at least an hour.
now slowly plug back in , if you notice a small spark coming
from the plug when you plug it in that's normal

which means most likely the regulator or output tran is out.
is about 150.00 200.00 normal cost. no more.

If the plug doesn't spark at all when you plug it in slowly
could be a Fuse :>

No power. No lights.

I have the exact same problem.
TV was working fine (if you call having to deal with blinking lights of death and multiple starrt up errors...) - but I powered through it all.
This TV is 6 years old and started acting up after the 4-year extended warranty ran out.
This morning I went to turn it on and nothing.
Hmmm... Got my manual to count the blinking light code...
Whoops. No lights. Nothing. Checked plug. Checked power.
Uninstalled and installed lamp. Checked plug and power again.
Nothing.
Not one stinking light. No power to fan. Nothing.

How does a TV just DIE???

TV WON'T TURN ON

You might have a bad power supply or convergence circuit, I also suggest you to check for fluid spill on the circuit board. if the convergence is defective one of the 5A picofues on the power supply is open. Hope this help you.

un plug the set and use a flashlight and look for evidence of the CRts leaking on the chassis this is a common fault with that model. It will cause a dead set.
