Check Hi Fi Engine or Electro Tanya. How did the wires get put in the wrong place?

If you would like to burn DVDs you can buy a burner for a PC for about $20-25 USD at a place like newegg.com.

Hello.

You need to take out the cassette deck from the car. open the cassette deck by removing the various screws, once open, there is a small plastic gear which you need to wind manually which will slowly release the cassette.

Unit may have slipping drive due to defective belt or tape may have wrapped around captsan. Have serviced

open the cassette holder and use a pen to push down on the carrier. So long as you don't try to use it again it should stop

It seems they didnt refirbish it, you should return it..

If for some reason you cant return it.

The problem is your carriage unit is damaged
The carriage unit is the parts that load the tape into the vcr
If you think you are able you can open it up and look if any springs have fallen out. If not then change the unit.

If you cant fix it your self a technician can easily do it for you since it isnt that hard and somplicated to repair, you just need good retainence

This mechanism was shared by a number of jvc models and works great til it stops. It has been my experience that most often the entire mechanism is cheap enough it becomes the prefered method for repair. This of course is a shop repair issue. Time is more costly than the part.
