THe PRO-TREK watch compass is very sensitive to nearby Iron (eg. cars, fridges, steamships, artillary canons, battering rams, guillotines, etc) and anything wearable or embedded in your body. I had to calibrate mine in the middle of a baseball field.

According to Casio, in the time keeping mode hold the E until each of the following steps occur. hold SET appears in digital display>HT flashes. Second hand points to the current home city code. Set 2: Use A to select the city code you want to select as your home city. Each press of A moves the second hand clockwise. keep pressing A until it lands on the city code you need. Select your home city code before changing any other setting. Step 3: Press D to cycle through the available settings on the digital display. When the time keeping setting you want to change is displayed, you A ad or C to change it. Step 5: Press E to exit the screen, the hands of the watch will move to the time you set. The problems is very simple: On the back cover (inside) is a little Cu metal Part. This part is glued to back cover using a poor glue (rubbered glue) and, in time, is moving from original position. You must put back this parts to original positin ( a little hole inside of back cover) and glue using a good glue. When the back cover is mounted , this part must have a ferm contact with two springs from mechanism (sensor for back cover open). If beatwin this springs isn't a electric short (using Cu metal parts) the internal mechanism of watch "see" the back cover is open and show "OPEN" on screen!
