Ice maker stopped after electric shutoff

Greetings, Our LG fridge, model lsc26905tt was working fine last week when hurricane Ike shut off the power for 3 days. After electric returned (3 days ago) ice maker isn't working. No water is even getting to the tray. Maybe melted ice refroze after all the cubes ice melted?  Fridge was in house when we bought a few months ago so no manual. Thanks for any help. Mark

I have an LG refrigerator. Recently, the icemaker will not dispense ice. It appears that no water is entering teh icemaker, although teh water dispenser in the door is working. My icemaker does not have a 'clear' button. The refrigerator is about 8 years old. Any deas?

LG fridge, model lsc26905tt Everything was working fine until about 2 weeks ago the water dispenser stopped and I notice no ice was being made either. The flap that close after dispensing ice stopped closing so I thought maybe it was freezing since there was ice forming on the back of the door where ice dispenses. I had not changed the filter so I did that still nothing, I unplugged the frdige for about 12 hours and took off water lines in back of fridge to the water soruce, no blockage from wall to fridge still no luck. You may have a problem with the computer control board in the ice maker.  Try this.  Turn off the icemaker for about 2 minutes.
Turn on the ice maker and press the clear button.  Press and hold this button for 12 seconds to get it to force extract.  This will confirm that the motors will work and push the ice cubes out.  Afterwards, let it run by itself.  If it still doesn't make ice, you will need to replace the icemaker.

I am having a problem with the ice maker on my LG. We changed the filter in the last week and now it will not make ice. It was workking fine before this. We have tried everything, HELP!!!!!!

Maybe the filter is not installed correctly. Take it out and re-install it. I suppose the water valve is on. Of course, the fact that the ice maker is not working may be just coincidence. Put some water in the ice maker, wait some hours and see if it will push the ice out. If it does, that tells you that the ice maker does work. Let me know if you need more help.

Ice maker freezes up

It's likely you have your freezer to cold, Try reducing the setting on that. If that doesn't work you might wanna check your freezer and make sure it's not thawing and then freezing again, you might have a problem with your fridges thermostat.

Yes. I would suggest the control board is possibly damaged.

Freezer not freezing

Check to see if the fan motor in the freezer is running. Most likely it is not circulating the cold air Also make sure the defrost drain line is clear and has drained out. A frozen sheet of ice will restrict airflow also
