I have reinstalled windows xp home edition on my sharpe notebook and i cnt use wireless?i havnt got drivers for it and i cant find them please help me

if your using secured wireless make sure you are typing the key correctly. Otherwise download your network card drivers.

Please select Operating system (example xp home edition 32 bit or xp pro 32 bit or 64 bit) from the dropdown list for operating system.

Then download and install all the drivers one by one.

i have acer travelmate 290 laptop, recently I formated my laptop and I installed windows xp home edition on it, every thing works fine after I installed the operating system with my acer recovery disk, but when i switch on my wireless button it gives blue screen and immediatly restart the laptop. i tried uninstalled and installed the wireless drivers no luck.

Need your help !

Download a tool called driver max its free just type it in Google it will find your driver for you ...but you do have to put in emailaddy and things to use it ..Hope this Helps

You will need to go to the Toshiba WEB site, to the support/download page, search for the video driver for Windows XP for your model laptop and install it on your laptop. There may be several version, download the latest.

There is a small program called EVERESTHOME
this is a diagnostic utility that can ID your internal components to let you google the updates or drivers. for example the picture below
this picture shows the south bridge and audio controller.

Sounds like you need some drivers installed, especially if you just installed XP clean.

Visit support.dell.com, click on Drivers and Downloads, click on the service tag option and enter your service tag located on the bottom.

This will take you to a list of drivers for your specific model. Make sure the OS chosen is Windows XP and in the list you should find some wireless drivers. There may be several different wireless drivers listed. And one of those will be specific to your needs.

You might need to identify which wireless card you have first. Which will requrie gaining access to it to get some part numbers or model numbers from it. There should be an access panel on the bottom that you can open to gain access to the mini-pci wireless card. That way you can see which one you have and download the correct software for it.
