Ice maker makes ice but ice dispenser on outside of door does not activate anything inside which would cause ice to be dispensed. When ice dispenser on outside pressed, flap on door where ice comes out does open but again nothing happens inside to "push" or allow ice out. Water dispenser works fine.

I had the same problem with the ice dispenser flap not closing properly, this cause very large build up of ice around the inside - get that sorted first.

From what you are describing, it sounds like you need a valve. Another common thing I run into is the cooling tank inside the fridge freezing. This will usually affect water through the door only. Remove the crispers and you should see a large coil of plastic water line attached to the back wall of fridge. You can check to see if it is frozen by blowing through it from the end of the line you removed from valve. BEWARE, if you blow through it, water will come out dispenser if line is not frozen. Have a towel at front of fridge.

Sounds like the water solinoid valves are wired wrong.One activates The water dispenser.The other the ice maker.That, why every so often the water shoots out on the floor.The ice maker is telling the valve to open.
