Blackberry pearl 8130 issues

I was trying to pair my phone with a bluetooth enabled headset and the screen froze. How do I "unfreeze" the bluetooth options screen? I can access the rest of the applications on the phone, but, I cant access the bluetooth options or the options screen. Those two applications show "enabling bluetooth device". How do I close those frozen applications? so I can try and start over pairing the bluetooth device with my phone?

Take the battery out of the phone then place it back in the phone and try again, if it freezes again then you have a software problem and you will need to take the phone into a repair center and have it diagnosed.

I cant receive anythin om my bluetooth yet i can send,,,my device cant be paired

Hi,the BlackBerry Pearl is a versatile mobile phone. It's primarily a Smartphone that's suitable for business use but it's also equipped with some decent entertainment features. The pearl can also play music files which you can enjoy with the help of a hands free Bluetooth headset. Let me teach you how to pair a Blackberry Pearl Smartphone to a Bluetooth headset.

Things You'll Need:

* Blackberry Pearl Smartphone
* Bluetooth headset

Turn on your Bluetooth headset by pressing and holding the multifunction button.

Check if the LED light is a solid blue. Turn off the headset and repeat the first step if the light is blinking.

Activate the Bluetooth wireless connection on your BlackBerry Pearl by Going into your "Settings" menu

Select the "Options" menu to go to your connectivity settings

Click on the "Bluetooth" option to activate the connection

Choose the "Add Device" option on your BlackBerry Pearl to locate the headset

Wait for a while as your Smartphone locates the Bluetooth headset

Enter 0000 for the password after selecting the headset to complete the Bluetooth pairing process

After that, your Done !!!!you can now send and receive. But after following this instruction and no solution yet, that means there is something wrong with your blue tooth. Corrupted. You will need to reset the phone.

My blackberry curve recognizes the LG HBM-570 headset, but the headset keeps telling me it is terminating. It has worked for 3 months and just started doing this.

Hi, to solve this problem, you will have to do some troubleshooting.
First you will need to disconnect the pairing of both the blue tooth headset from your black berry phone. And pair again with the below instruction.

Instructions

Pair Your Blackberry with a Bluetooth Headset

Turn on Bluetooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.

Enable the Bluetooth radio by going to the options window and clicking on Bluetooth. Click on Enable Bluetooth in that window.

Add your Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry by clicking on Add Device in the Bluetooth window.

Find and select the name of your Bluetooth headset from the list that appears. The Blackberry will search for all Bluetooth devices within range, so other devices might show up on the list.

Click Activate Bluetooth device if you receive a call and the Bluetooth headset does not pick up automatically.

Use your Bluetooth Headset with your Blackberry

Make sure the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry is turned on before you try to use your Bluetooth headset.

Use the voice-dial feature to call contacts if your headset has that capability. Not all headsets support voice dialing, but more of the newer models do.

Press the on/off button on your headset to end a call or use the end button on the handheld.

Tips & Warnings

Pair your Blackberry with any Bluetooth-enabled device using the same steps as those for connecting a Bluetooth headset.

Remove your Bluetooth headset from the list of paired devices on your Blackberry by selecting and clicking on Delete Device in the Bluetooth window.

Configure your Blackberry to connect to a paired Bluetooth headset without asking for authorization in the Bluetooth Device Properties window. That will allow your headset to automatically reconnect even if you take it out of range temporarily.

Only configure a Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry once. Once you configure the pairing between the two devices, the settings are saved and you do not have to repeat the processes each time you use it.

Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry when not in use for security reasons.

Adjust volume on your headset or hand-held to a comfortable level. Excess volume from in-the-ear headsets can cause hearing damage.

After that if still does not work that means you will need to test if the bllue tooth headset is really not damaged by using it on another phone to confirm.

You can also reset the blackberry cell phone if still not working. Blue tooth might be corrupted and will not connect to headset. You can use the below instruction to reset cell phone:

How to Reset a Blackberry

There are three main types of Reset that apply to the Blackberry. These are listed in order below. Instructions for Blackberry Pearl are slightly different - see bottom section of the Tip.

1) Soft Reset - simply press the ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys.

This reset stops all applications that are running on the Blackberry and will help if you are having problems connecting the device to computer. This reset will not erase any information from your device.

2) Double Soft Reset - this reset is almost equivalent to a full hard reset. First perform a Soft Reset as outlined in Step 1.

As soon as the screen is no longer black - repeat the steps once again exactly as before.

This takes you to another screen showing an hour glass. Allow the device to reset. This helps if the device has suffered a more serious error. Be aware you may loose some information from your device. A backup is advised prior to proceeding if at all possible.

3) Hard Reset - this is the full blown reset and will fully reset the device to help resolve critical errors with software or hardware. Again back up important information before proceeding if possible.

Note: For RIM models 850, 857, 950, or 957, you must insert the end of a paperclip or similar blunt object into a small recessed hole on the back of the unit and depress the switch inside. The device will reboot and be hard reset.

Other Models: With the device turned on - remove the battery for 30 seconds or more. Now replace the battery. The device will reboot and be hard reset.

Blackberry Pearl: To reset to factory defaults enter 'Options' from the main menu. Scroll to Security Options and press the trackball. Choose 'General Settings'.

Press the left soft key, then scroll to "Wipe Handheld" with the trackball and press the trackball. To initiate the factory reset, your phones security code may be required in order for the process to complete. Your phone will now be restored to its original settings on leaving the factory.

A hard reset can be achieved with the Pearl in the same way as outlined at Step 3 by removing the battery.

Be aware that resets such as these may erase data, such as contacts, ring tones, pictures, text messages and stored Internet files and emails. Make sure to back up important information beforehand if at all possible. You can obtain software to back up the device to your computer directly from Blackberry Below.

Thanks.

Blackberry curve won't pair with my bluetooth headset

Hello,

Try the following. Hope this helps.

Okay,

1. Go into "Media" on your BlackBerry and enable incoming files (Menu-->Receive using bluetooth).
2. Find the file on your friend's device that you wish to send, and beam the said file accordingly.
2a. If you have not "paired" (created a friendship between) the two devices before, you will need to do this first...
2b. One of the devices will ask for a PIN code first and on this device you need to create a four-digit, numeric password that can be anything you like.
2c. On the second device, enter the four-digit, numeric password you created and follow the simple, on-screen prompts on both devices to complete the pairing (you can also pair the devices in advance by going into Menu-->Set Up Bluetooth).
2d. Depending on the devices being used and the time taken to complete the pairing, you may need to re-send the file (go back to step 1), otherwise, continue below...
3. When your friend's device tries to send you the file, your BlackBerry should ask you to name the file and where to save it; if you have not set the device as "trusted" in the bluetooth settings (Options-->Bluetooth-->your friend's device), you may need to approve the file transfer first though.
4. The file should now be on your device.

Note: by default, all
* Pictures are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/pictures or /Media Card/BlackBerry/pictures if you have a memory card.

* Sounds (including songs) are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/ringtones/ or /Media Card/BlackBerry/ringtones/ if you have a memory card.

* Videos are saved /Device Memory/home/user/videos or /Media Card/BlackBerry/videos if you have a memory card.

In other words, unless you specify somewhere else in step 3, this is where you will find your file.

And remember, your incoming file transfer WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU FIRST "PAIR" (CREATE A FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN) THE DEVICES, go into Media and CLICK MENU-->RECEIVE USING BLUETOOTH!!!

I have a problem with my bluetooth headset h500 pairing it?

The Blackberry Pearl was designed to work with 2.0 model bluetooth handsfree headsets. Whereas the Motorola H500 is compatible with 1.1 - 1.2 bluetooth apps only. I'm guessing you will have to dish out the cash on this one, sorry!
