SOURCE: 18 volt ryobi battery charger...green & yellow lights come on wha

talked to Ryobi and they are vague. It can either mean that the battery is bad, or the charger is bad and another one that maybe the contacts of the battery are dirty or not seating fully in charger. What I would look for in this instance first unplug the charger and look into charging slot to make sure the terminals of the charger are not bent and they come out into the cavity where battery would go. If not gently pull terminal into opening and retry. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance

SOURCE: bosch 18volt brute force cordless drill how do i remove chuck

Put the screw back in the chuck, tighten it up then back it out 1 turn. Take a punch, put it in the chuck and give it a quick hit with a hammer. That should do the trick.

SOURCE: can a bad ryobi 18 drill ruin a new 18volt ryobi battery

If the drill has a short in it, then yes, it could short the battery out. Probably in the trigger switch.

The chuck is jammed.Does someone know how I can correct it? Thanks

Hi, you can put the chuck in a tin/cup of oil, use penetrating, deisel, or as light as possable, also warming it up, keep trying weekly, or monthly, keep forwarding/reversing offten.
I have saved two, one was in a bucket of water for ages, its a "good one" now.

Ryobi 18v drill stuck chuck

easy to fix
with the drill not running

grab the bottom part of the spinning part of the drill nearest the drill's motor.
then
grab the spinning shaft bit nearest the drill bit
pull them apart slightly

when the two parts are pushed together thay lock the chuck

I own a ryobi hammer drill that does the same thing

My 18 volt dewalt cordless runs well except when I try to remove something with it. Reversing the drill makes my nutdriver bit fall out as it opens the chuck, so all removals have to be done by hand.

I would make sure that the bit is firmly installed in the chuck, you should hear clicking when the bit is tightening, this is the chuck locking itself on the but. and when going in reverse make sure you dont have your hand or have the chuck pressed against an object. If nether of these are the problem then there may be a problem with the chuck itself and should be replaced.
