It is not natural for a projector to loose color.
May be someone has decreased the color using the settings.
Go to the picture menu for adjusting the color.
Let us know the result.

I have nec np200 and there's a lot of dots appeared on the screen. what seems to be a problem

I have 2 NP-200 projectors installed in a school which show white dots on a black background and black dots on a white background. This is caused by the DMD chip losing pixels. Only solution is to replace the chip, I'm researching now if that i an economical solution.

My NEC VT465 shows a transparent yellow spot in the middle of the projected image.

I lent mine to a friend and it came back with this same problem - my guess is they wiped the lens with a solvent that messed up the lens coating the only solution is to get a new lens

Replacing new lamp

Hi - You can download the manual from the link below:

NEC vt465

Look at page E-30, make sure the cover is screwed up tight as there is an "interlock".

Most likely is the lamp hour meter needs reseting:

No Image nec vt465 and yamaha rx v540

You must use the projectors menu to choose the type of input for video out. Your projector is capable of 720p or 1080i high def, but not through s video. If you want high def you must use the component output from your receiver to input on your projector. I hope this helps.
