Hi I have a problem with my GE stackable washer/dryer that we just bought.. When we turn the washer on the dryer also comes on and if we shut the dryer off then the washer turns off. But the air coming from the dryer isn't hot.

The issue is that a shock or spring that balances the tub has come loose and pulled a hose off when it broke. So the shocks or the springs are bad. The hose might be able to just be put back on.
Im haveing the same exact problem on the same exact machine... I have taken all the pannels off, and drained the water. I was wondering if there may be a way that the pump lost it's prime and needs to be re-primed? (wishfull thinking on my part.) There was no indication that the pump burnt out, it just stopped working instantly with no symptoms. The other functions seem to work, it will agitate the laundry, and then will just stop when it comes to the pump cycle. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.
3 year old GE stackable washing machine, had water coming out the top and would not drain or go through cycle, when shut off it drained a little but when turned on again it filled up and over flowed.
