All you need is to replace the UV light. Call your local Aerus or Aerus Electrolux store get one delivered to you! Easy peasy.

The release button may be stuck or jammed, try pushing in on it and at the same time tapping the area around the button with a heavy wooden spoon, it may be enough to free it.
