My printer was working great with my old Windows XP system but now that I am running Vista on my new computer the printer will no longer duplex (I bought the duplexing attachment). Any suggestions how I can get duplexing to work again? Thanks...
The duplexer defaults to "not installed" in many cases. To correct this go to the printers folder, right click on the printer, Run as Administrator, Properties, Device Settings, Installable Options and set the Duplex Unit to Installed, Apply, OK.
Click here for details to get a patch to fix the problem of the back side printing upside down on Vista using the auto duplex unit on many HP deskjet printers.

What printer do you have?
brand and model?
do you has installed the newest driver and utility for vista operating system?
do you know that Vista and XP are incompatible in terms of drivers?
Vista has many drivers for a lots of printers, but these drivers are "generic driver". The generic driver is a small driver, an incomplete driver, and has a limited functions.

I have an HP OfficeJet 6110xi. I went to the HP website and made sure that I have the curren printer driver. There is a note on the HP website that the Vista driver doesn't support duplexing on this printer and that they have no plans for an updated driver.
