Polycom Fx doesn't power on or show any signs of life

Hi, we have a polycom viewstation FX camera. It was working fine, and suddenly we went to turn it on and it will not show any signs of power or life. We are using the correct kind of power supply. We tested the power supply's voltage and it seems fine. Would like to know the worst case scenario cost of repairing this unit.

Thank you

Wally

Try disconnecting the ISDN module and then cycling the power. If that doesn't work speak to your support provider about repair costs. Ultimately you may need to replace it because of its age (it might be End of Life and not available for repair)

I have a polycom viewstation FX and appear to have problems regarding the ISDN. We seem to be able to connect outgoing calls ok (however it does take a long time). But incoming calls do not connect, just...

How many lines (circuits) do you have going to your system? Is it possible they are out of order? Give me your ISDN numbers and I'll try to connect to you. Where are you located? My e-mail address is [email protected]

Polycom ViewStation SP will not power on.

First you should check if the power supply is working. You can buy a different one on ebay or if you have a second one you can see if that is the cause. If your power supply says "Spectre" instead of Polycom then it is a good chance that the power supply is at fault. Those weren't so reliable.

Connecting a polycom

No, i don't think si. The polycom needs an ethernet connection to a router. You might get this working by putting the 3g card into a PC and enabling connection sharing, however even if you got it work itsd a bad solution in terms of:
- Cost
- Reliability
- Security.
ADSL would be better.

Polycom ViewStation H.323 Red Blinking Light

Are you able to move the camera using the remote?
If not, then you may have a hardware issue.
If yes, then try to connect to the Viewstation (web interface) using its IP from a Computer.
