Changing the bulbs in your model is quite different than changing the ones in a full electric fireplace. Yours requires a bit more dismantling and removal of parts. So, I have provided a link to the Owner's Manual just in case you have misplaced yours. What you need to know is on Page 14 of the manual.
For future reference, I suggest that you download and print the manual. Then keep it in a safe, accessible place.

Heater works but there are no longer any "flames."

There are bulbs that can be replaced.
Consult your owner's manual for directions, or call Dimplex for a new copy of your owner's manual.

Bulb replacement

Dimplex uses common bulb types. Either incandescent or halogen. Consult your owner's manual for bulb type and wattage, then visit your local hardware or convenience store. It should be easy to find. If you lost your manual, simply remove the old bulb and bring with you to the store.

Replacing bulb in dimplex electric fire chb20br

To replace the bulbs, your will need to remove the plexiglass front, then remove the logs and set them off to side where they won't get stepped on. Then lift up the plastic simulated ember bed. You now have access to the light bulbs. The required bulbs are 60 watt small base chandelier bulbs.

Hope this helped you, Margo. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Bottom bulbs don't work

Sounds light the 2- 60 watt small base, chandelier bulbs need changing. To access the bulbs and change them does require some dismantling of the base of the insert.

The light has gone out on my dimplex ASP20 fire.

There are several light bulbs that create the flame effect. However, it's unusual for all to go bad at one time. If you still have your Owners Manual, it will tell and show you how to access and change the bulbs. In the meantime, turn the Master ON/OFF switch to OFF and Unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 12 to 15 minutes and plug the unit back in. Turn ON the Master ON/OFF switch and test each function one at a time. Hopefully, the time unplugged gave the unit time enough to reset itself. However, if this continues to occur on a regular basis, contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service at
888-346-7539

If you want to Troubleshoot and access the bulbs yourself: Remove the Plexiglas from the front of the fireplace and carefully remove the logs. The ember bed below where the logs were sitting will lift out and you'll have complete access to the bulbs. The bulbs are 60 watt, small base, chandlier bulbs.

Hope this helps you solve the problem

Fan working heat coming out no embers

It's a bit unusual for all the bulbs that create the flames to go out at the same time. But, I guess it could happen. However, I thinks more likely the flame switch or its circuitry has failed. Not at all that uncommon in electric fireplaces and stoves, regardless of who the manufacturer is. It happens more than you'd suspect. If you don't know how to access the light bulbs, check you Owners Manual. If you know longer have your Owners Manual, go to the Dimplex USA website and you can download the Owners Manual in a pdf format and print it for future reference. Have your Model # handy when you do this.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.
