Hi,
these servers are single power supply when that goes you only get a blinking orange light and no beeps.
most other issues will beep code.
I would start there. you can remove and reinstall. but it is probably bad

hope this helps

jumpered and got fan to rotate, do the power supply is okay after that test? still not solve my problem.

oh, that would then leave me with a bad processor's voltage regulator as the next suspect. and in some of them that is replaceable. I am not sure about this model

Orange light keeps blinking on my dell poeredge 2600

Orange blinking light means a component failure.
I had a cooling fan failure and this caused the orange light. When there is a failed fan the other fans RPM is increased to compensate. Is the server fan noise excessive?

An Amber blinking power button indicates a low voltage problem. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Remove all PCI cards and see if you see if it powers on. Check USB ports too.

Three sets of beeps, or three individual beeps? Does it repeat? If so, then check this for the code you are hearing:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/pe600sc/en/it/1r237c20.htm#1046231

If it is a steady once-per-second beep - or a constant screech - and it is able to boot to the OS (or even most the way), then it is probably your RAID controller. Boot to CTRL-A or CTRL-M to check the status of your array.

Orange lamp is blinking..

The fault was either likely faulty Power Supply or less likely Motherboard issue.
Or
A bad power supply... Just because you have some fans and lights working, this doesn't mean that the power supply is good

Power edge loght is red and blinking

You should be able to see the reasons in the front panel, remove the front cover and you will see a small display with some information passing slowly. Sometimes is just the redundant power-supply that is disconnected.

Hi i have a dell poweredge 2850. Orange LED blinking

It sounds like a hard disk has failed or fallen out of sync.
This can be a serious problem if not addressed ASAP.

Call Dell, they have lifetime phone support for their servers.

Write down the Express Service Code and Service Tag number that is on the server chassis before you call.
This is the last number I used for server support: (800) 945-3355
If it doesn't work you should be able to find a valid number at support.dell.com

I hope this helps.
