We have a Mitsubishi diamond seriies ws 65909, we heard a pop noise (as if a speaker had blown but we still have sounds then the TV went to a rainbowish of colors and you view the picture as if it's 2 pictures (the same effect you get when you cross yours eyes almost). One our main TV screen we see the colors green, purple, red, and blue. Any suggestions?

Thats the code which normally indicates a convergence failure you can get the WS55909 - WS65909 Convergence repair kit which also has instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com its listed under the Mitsubishi repair kits catagory.

check for busted lamp.

Unplug it for 2-3 hrs. then when you turn it back on again, be sure to reset the sleep timer to "off".

sorry but u have bad dm3 board

you need replace or fix the computer in the tv

the regular problem is the convergence kit,

I suspects you have bad convergance IC's

It takes a good tech around 3 or 3 hours to take the old ones out and solder in the new ones. Also, it is likely one or two resistors are burnt and will need replacing as well.
Don not run the tv till you have it fix you will cause more damage!

I bought the mitsubishi black diamond gray 65819 is under warranty and had same problem , turns off like after 2seconds ,it can be fixed people but u need a sears tech, I had one come out and was told they no longer can get the part ,but he had to take it to repair it and yes its was a steal for me ,depending where u live the cost for me would have been $350 for part,$200 labor its the board that the power cord is connected to in tv... I live in s.a. texas , the unit that set up the service is 9905 ,the repair unit is just down the street from them off culebra so if u get tech says cant repair it this one does,it helps if u have the warranty or protection agreement
