Labelled Power Amp 1 in and Power Amp 2 In, take the main out line level output from the FX24 to these. As you are using it to power the mains from another mixer this will be the best way as I assume you don't need it as a mixer.

You CAN drive the power amps from the main amp inout jacks BUT the rest of the inout of the 8600 would be dead then. You can connect the L and R from the FX24 to either the media RCA jacks or into the channel9/10 jacks. FOr the latter, use TRS cables. Leave the two selection buttons in the up position.

You could go into the ones labeled power amp in that are bottom row, just to the left of the RCA for record out. Going into these DISCONNECTS the internal preamp so NONE of the channels of this mixer will go through, only that from your external mixer. I would go into the channel 9/10 jacks myself then you can use the inout on the 8600 as well.

I want to use theMackie as a sub mixer into a powered "all in one" Peavy mixer, where do I come out of the Mackie into one of my powered mixer line inputs?

Take the main outputs into a stereo input (or a pair of mono inputs) on the Peavey - without knowing which Peavey I cannot tell you further info re set-up but as you'll be sending line level signal you'll need to back off the gain on the channels you input to on the Peavey

My husband purchased one of your xr8600 peavey mixer the problem hes having is he cant get the echo settings right.please can you help.

View videos on YouTube regarding "mixer setup". Find the parts of setting up of "effects". Don't worry that you have a different mixer, the principles are all the same for analog mixers. Steps are this: Set the EFX send level for EACH of the input channels (knob above each channel gain) for the proportion you want for each channel. Check that the level you are sending does NOT cause the effect clip light to light very much. Set the effect you want, delay, echo, etc. with the selector knob. Advance the output sent to the power amp with the two knobs in the upper right of the panel. Adjust the "time" knob for the delay or effect depth you want. Then go over the same settings in the same order until you get the sound you want.

Check the pan cotrols are at 12 o;clock.

Verify your speakers are identical and speaker cord length is about the same.

Swap speakers to make sure it is not the speaker,

Hello, What is the proper way to connect an Ashly XR1000 Crossover and a Pyle Pro PTA1400 power amp to my Peavey XR8600 so I can use 2 subs? The subs are not powered, but do have a passive crossover...

Here is a link to the manual:http://www.peavey.com/assets/literature/manuals/00513220_7.pdf I didn't look at the manual for the crossover but this is probably the way I would do it. Look at page 13 in the manual : Come out of the Main out (31 in the diagram) into the main in of your crossover. Go out of your crossover Hi and Mid out setting back into Power amp In 1 (labelled 32 in the diagram). Hook your speakers that you normally use to the output jacks on the back of the Peavey. Make sure you match the output impedances. Go out of your crossover low output into the Pyle power amp and out of the Pyle into your subs. Make sure the impedance ratings of all your speakers match the output impedances of your amps. You will only be running in Mono mode as that is the signal output of the Peavey mixer. You can run faux stereo by using the Main monitor Out as 1/2 the pair and the Main Out as the other 1/2 to both channels of the crossover but you won't be getting a true stereo pan mode.
