Notebook msi u230 says plugged in not charging and the adapter is good

First try keystroke fn+f10

If that doesn't work, try the following:
Follow this sequence to reach Device Manager.
1. Click on Start Menu / Right-click on Computer / Click on Manage.
2. Click on Device Manager on the left column, and then double click on Network adapters.
3. You should see 2 adapters, double-click on your wireless adapter to enter property.
4. Go to Advanced tab, select Radio Power and make sure it's set to Disable.
5. Try your Ethernet connectivity again.

You should now be able to use strictly your Ethernet.

if your device fan works then check its RAM
if long beeps check if the battery is good and your adapter charge it or not
main board

go to MSI dot com, read the manual, it it there.
all laptops use different methods to do that, gota love em' huh"?

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device

Windblows looses the address to drivers all the time. Suggest you download AND install the proper Realtek audio driver.

Hover your mouse cursor on Download
(Overview / Specification / Download / etc)

In the drop down list click on Driver

Use the blue Down Arrow, and in the drop down list click on Win7 32 (Windows 7 32-bit)

Click on the blue -> U230_ad_6.0.1.5918_aI00.zip

Click on the country name nearest yours.
A small window will come up on the right -
Opening u230_ad_6.0.1.5918_aI00.zip

Make sure the small circle to the left of Save File, has a Green dot in it.
If not click in the empty circle to the left of Save File.
Now go below, and click on OK.

A small download window will come up on the left.
Allow the audio file to download all the way, then DOUBLE-click right on the file.
Follow the easy instructions.
(Next, Next, and Finish)

If not asked to do so restart your computer.

Check you Audio Sound properties and make sure the microphone is checked as a Recording Device. Click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound. You might also be able to click the megaphone that is located at the bottom right near the time.

You can talk till you are blue in the face, but if the Microphone is not selected as a recording device it won't work.

Some operating systems will allow you to do a self test of the microphone by clicking Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Sound Recorder

Have a look at device manager Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc and see if you have any ? X or ! look under network adapters - click on the + and see if you have the adapter listed It will have a name something with wireless or 802.11 B/G/N included - check if it has any X or ! or ?
